I have seen so many of my friends and neighbors who just like to use their 10fingers to sauvy their favourite food rice and curry or dal. It gives them immense pleasure to have it lick the fingers and enjoy their food to the last bit. I am astonished at the speed they eat! Do you use fingers! or spoons!

Yeas! Its cool to eat directly from your hands and fingers. You get to really taste the food and it's a lot of fun! Just don't forget to wash your hands before and after. You don't want to get all those viruses, right?

I just ate at a sidewalk fastfood and they serve home-cooked food. The good things is you can eat there using your hands, but people wrap their hands in cellophanes for them not to get dirty.

Hi friend, I also eat food with both hands.I use two spoons while eating food.It became a habit and frequently i use both my hands at the dinning table by default.Sometimes my parents scold me by seeing the eating stylish. But what to do as we are roaming round the people we have to live like that.Even though it is not good i used to that kind of style by seeing lots of friends. have a nice day

Well i guess these cultures are able to eat quickly with there hands because they are taught the same as we are with knives n forks. And, it amazes me how the chinese can use chopsticks so easily, yet i struggle everytime. It must also be remembered that there are such things as 'fingerfoods', however, i would not like to see my 6yr old picking up his lamb curry in his hands.

Normally I eat using spoon and fork and knife and fork when we're eating steak. I can also eat with hand and I do enjoyed it most of the time, but not both just my right hand. And I can also eat using chopsticks, but not expert. I guess sometimes it just depends on what I'm eating.

Yeah i do but not all the time. I still prefer eating using spoon and fork. I only use my hands when i am eating crustaceans which are hard to eat using fork because i need to open it up and it gets a little messy so i might as well just use my hands to eat. Hands should be clean of course! Wash then first. Nails must be cut short.

I think that is the way they eat. We also use our hands to eat with our hands sometimes here in our country with rice and viand but with only 5 fingers or using 1 hand. Anyway, we eat with spoons and when we are having picnic, its enjoyable too to eat using your fingers.

It always depends on the food you're eating and probably the place you're at. If I have some fast food, I don't use flatware. I mean, it's fast food! You don't eat that with knife and fork :). But if it's a very formal event, you ought to use flatware. You gotta show your good manners :).

I definitely prefer to use a fork or spoon for eating but I know in some cultures the hands are used instead. Personally I do not like to see when people lick their fingers. I always think of how many germs are actually on your hands and under your nails even when they are freshly washed. Besides, that is why napkins were invented. Also I would not want anyone to put their freshly licked fingers into the same bowl that I was eating from. That is a sure way to spread germs. But I suppose it all has to do with the customs you are brought up with.
