Is your infected just because somene saids that you are?

I have had this happen on my computer before now and I never trust it. I have norton anti virus and it it is brilliant and always up to now has stopped any threats to my computer so I never believe anything else. My mum fell for that and it cost her a lot of money to put her computer right again.

I wouldn't trust that and download it. I know it gets so confusing sometimes and you don't know if what your doing is right or wrong. All we can do is becareful.

Never trust a pop-up. Period. End of story. You haven't a clue as to where it came from or where it is going to or that it even is valid.... don't trust a pop up. If you think you have a problem..go to an actual web site and get your help

No it does no always meanthat you are infected, it does however mean that someone has hacked into your commputer in one way or another. I had this happen to me before. I recomend that you download Avast. It will help protect you from this happening in the future. I have been using it for over a year, and nothing has ever got into my computer. If you do not have a firewall or securety system for your computer you should not go onto myspace, alot of virises are lurking around on ther just waiting for an open computer to grow in..

Dear ONe DO NOT DOWNLOAD THAT FILE...THAT IS 100% VIRUS. I hv got that problem in the same way as u are telling.but i downloaded that one my computer was infected with a virus.this is a sort of virus that want to retrieve ur login details and passwords. I realised my fault ..suddenly i had to format c drive and a fresh xp loaded. then I had to changed all my password. now I am suinf nod32 smart security anti virus . so...do not download.

we don't trust it most of the time..wht u can do is..jz ignore it..but let ur AVG keep running and scanning everyday because browsing the net itself will make ur computer at risk..viruses are everywhere..so..hv a gd antivirus and check ur files all the time..a suggestion when u hv not-deleted virus..u jz open it with notepad and delete the contents then delete the virus file..it wont appear again..it works for simple viruses like worm..

I techy has told me right from the start never to do that, he has locked my computer up nice a tight and has said not to trust anyone else and I must admit I have not had any of the troubles a lot of people I know have had..

There is a program that will pop up while you are on the net that says you're infected and you can get this free program to fix it. Well, it actually installs a type of virus on your computer that you have to PAY them to get rid of. Unfortunately, it actually installs as soon as that web page starts "scanning" your computer. I did find a way to get rid of it, but it's not easy!

I see stuff like that sometimes and I do not trust it at all. I use Norton Antivirus software and I will only trust what it tells me I have or should do. You have to be so careful as to what you download. I would let AVG do the job.

Bad idea to trust a pop-up on a website! Let your anti-virus do the checking for you.
