What is the meaning of this.........

Well like everyone else seems to be telling you, I agree. He has some deep feelings for you, he loves you, but he's afraid to say it. Why? Because the male ego is fragile. No offense to the guys on here. He figures he should gauge your reaction before he says anything further because he doesn't want to get his heart broken if you don't feel the same way. But if you don't love him right now, you need to let him know in a way that isn't going to hurt his feelings.

Maybe he already felt in love with since along ago. After 6 days getting so close with you, he might be also think "This is the best time to open my heart". If you like him, why don't you try to love him?..

I think that you should be asking your friend for the meaning of his words. He might be asking you for your reaction but he cannot come out and say it out without knowing how you would take it. Cheers!!

This discussions sounds similar to another discussion that said something about can a guy and a girl be just friends. This just proves that emotions always gets involved. If you do like him and he likes you go for it. I mean if you guys spend 6 days out of the week together that means you guys are really close and know each other pretty well. It's not like your starting from point A your already like at point G. Good Luck with everything!!

For me that was really the product when you are too close to eaCh other the tendency is that one of the party will falL inlove to his/her bestfriend becAuse you together all the time its ok when you are both fall inlove to eaCh other buT what if only one party is inlove and the other party is just treating him/her as only as friend.?What will happen to the friendship that you build for the long time?.?I think when you have a bestfriend you have to make an agreement that n0 one will be fall inlove to eaCh other..BuT how cAn you avoid love when you surpressed it the m0re it wants to be fulfilled..

Maybe he likes you but it's not enough that he wants to be in a relationship with you. Maybe he also doesn't want to destroy your friendship.

I think,he is beating round the bush.He loves you and wants you in the name of love.At the same time he don't want to lose you as a friend at the least.He is worried of your denial against love and your turning back forever,if you don't have the same feeling towards him.Simply to say,he loves you but afraid to tell you explicitly.Cheers!

Hi walnut, as a guy I'd like to share my opinion on this. Your best friend seems to be "testing the waters" to see how you would react to the idea of him being in love with you. I would venture a guess that he really DOES like you but there's a risk of you rejecting him if he says it right away and it might put awkward tension in your friendship. So he tries to gauge your reaction by saying he wished he was in love with you. It's a safety net because if you reject the idea of a romantic relationship then the friendship is still safe, and if you say you're open to the idea can push it further. The main issue here is are you open to a romantic relationship with this guy? Because he obviously is. I think he's waiting for your approval.

I think at the minute you friend really really likes you and could easily be on his way to falling in love with you. I think he is scared of actually loving you and feeling rejection and thats why he sysd he wishes he was in love with you. This is a tricky situation for you as you may want to try and date him but you are afraid it might ruin your friendship. What you have to do is have a really long hard think about it, i hope everything works out for you and your friend. Its rare but sometimes your true love is right under your nose and you don't notice, i hope this ends up being the case for you
