Who wakes up first?

You, or your children?
99.9% of the time at least one of my kids are up before me. I'd say the baby is normally the first up at around 6am, and my oldest wakes up because of him (which is good because he has to start getting ready for school, he leaves at 7am)
Then my 6 year old will wake up usually about the same time as them... then normally I'll hear them moving around and that will wake me up (but I don't always get right out of bed yet.. I just lay in bed and listen to them to make sure they're doing what they need to be doing to get ready for school)
My daughter usually has to be woken up at 7:30.. she's like mom and actually likes to sleep... wish my boys could be like that.
Then the 3 year old is last (of the children anyway) to get up around 8ish.
What is morning usually like in your house?

During the week and during the school year I am usually the first one up. This past week with school being out I have been trying to sleep in some days. Usually my daughter gets up before me to go to the bathroom and on her way back she grabs a granola bar and holds it up in front of my face and says "open please." I open it up and she sits on my bed to eat it. After she is done I normally get up and get moving.

Don't you love when they start becoming sort of self sufficient?
When my oldest was about 4 hubby and I used to leave him a cup of dry cereal and a cup of kool-aid (which is still good hours later, lol). He had a TV in his room and would watch cartoons and munch on the cereal until we crawled out of bed!
We haven't been able to do stuff like that since the twins have been born :(

Sounds like sleeping in to me. Although I managed to sleep till 9:30 today. Man I love having a 12 year old in the house! The kids got themselves up, helped the little ones get breakfast, and when I got up they were all sitting quietly watching a DVD. The only thing I had to do was change the baby's diaper.

Nowadays, it is me. I'm the first one up...at 5 am or 6 at the latest.
Till a couple of years back, it was my older son who used to be up first. He would get up, brush, switch on the water geyser and go next door to a neighbour's for yoga AND then come back and wake me up. He would be there with me while I cooked breakfast and lunch and get ready for school too in the meantime.
Now, it's me...and then my husband....my 3 year old (most days atleast) and then my 9 year old!

Most of the time, my son wakes up before me.
Looks like he stands for my alarm clock.
Everytime he wokes up he is always crying, maybe he's hungry early in the morning or want his cup of tea.Usually he wakes up 6:30am. Shame coz around that time i still want to sleep but needs to wake to keep him quite and feed him.
cheers!

Most of the time I wake up first during the week. I wake up at 7am. Oh actually during the week my oldest son wakes first. He has to be at the bus stop at 7:20. But no school days he is the last then all the rest of the kids. They wake up first on the weekend then I do. The weekends I sometimes sleep in as long as 12noon!!!!

I only have one child and he is 3. I'm usually always up before he is. He likes to sleep in. I get up around 7:30 or 8:00am and he'll usully sleep until around 8:30 or 9:00. He'll get up earlier if I wake him up but he doesn't really like to be woken up either. LOL

I wake up first in my house. I wake up by 4 or 4:30. Then, my father and mother will wake up by 5. My brother is the last. He'll wake up only by 7 and 8 sometimes. I'm a student. So naturally I've to wake up early to do my works properly. Also, I practice Yoga. Practicing Yoga before 5 is the best. So, I wake up by 4, do Yoga and carry on with my works. My mother will wake by 5 and will do her motherly duties of cooking, washing etc. My father will help my mother in her works. My mother is a Professor. So, sometimes she wakes up by even 2 or 3 to do her work. My brother is the last! For him, 6 is the earliest time to wake up!

Definitely the kids are the first ones up in this house. I'm a sleepyhead and not a morning person by any means, so I usually am woken up by the kids singing or playing in their rooms. I have monitors in their rooms so we can hear when they wake up. One of our little girls (she is 3) likes to sleep in though, so we are usually up before she is. Have a good day.

Hello,
My son normally wake up first in the morning, then me and my hubby wakes up, then breakfasts is prepared, clothes is laid out for the day, then my son goes back to be and wake up before noon sometimes, thats because on some days he gets up at 5am, and that is a little bit to early for a 2yr old, and me and my hubby for that matter lol. My Hubby and I have our own business, so being flexible with time is somthing that we love, we dont have any particular schedule each day, but our day is usally started around noon time everyday.
Happy My Lotting!

Oh! It's my daughter whole is an early bird. I have a long day at work and a late night sleep that makes me sleep till 7:30 in the morning. Since she sleeps early she is able to wake up early, i suppose.
After that, we have our morning coffee (the baby her milk) and then i get ready and start off to work :)

my daughter always wakes up right before I do. She comes into bed and gets me up to make her something to eat. Usually between 7 30 and 8. Sometimes she'll get in the fridge and grab an apple or what other fruit we have that week. She still makes sure I'm up and out of bed though lol. She doesn't wake anybody nicely either. She comes in, pulls off your covers, and tells you to wake up and get out of bed.

me sometimes I have a hard time sleeping. I often wake up in the middle of the night and if I lay there for an hour then I get up and come sit on the computer for a bit to clear my head and get sleepy again. Sometimes I go back to sleep and other times the kids are starting to wake up so I just stay up. Good thing I'm a stay at home mom.

Well i used to always be up first (as the son) but then my dad started to go out jogging in the morning. Nowadays in my new home we all wake up at 6:45 my parents to open the shoip and me for school. But when we get to the weekends i generally try to be the last one, by a few hours :PP

i am a student so i discuss this topic with my brothers and sisters. Today ,childrens are so active and they wake up nearly 6.00 am. If they have any test on that day they wake up very early like 4.00 am. but youngsters and parents have so much work so they are so tired and they cant able to wake up very early.
