When responding to a discussion... do you usually expect the user's response?

Well me if I think I have answered the question rightfully, I usually expect the user's response, but if the question doesn't really interest me, oftentimes I just leave it and don't expect the user to respond back How about you?

Hi Cecille! I think the true essence of mylotting is to comment and response and a healthy, enriching interaction. I look forward to the comments from the users all the time and I try my best to comment back on my discussions. Have a great time!

Not really. I give benefit of doubt to the user.

But do you get disappointed when you don't receive a respond from the discussions you've responded?

I don't expect much of an user's response as how much I observed it most of those who created discussions doesn't necessarily respond to their posts, hence, expectation from a user doesn't matter to me. Although, there are issues and concerns that we want some reaction from the starter but I was once or twice dismayed of not being responded back, all I know I was able to give my advice or opinion over the issue raised.

And I bet it's secretly appreciated by rating you positive.. Although they may seem not to respond, I'm sure users are responsible enough to rate their responders positive just to be polite you know.. Anyway, thanks for the response and take care

I would say NO, not at all.It is my feeling that I record and would not expect a feedback from the person concerned.

hello carmela I don't always expect him/ her t respond , but it would be more interesting if the writer responded and we had a real discussion about the topic .. if the discussion went that way it would be the most amazing thing about mylot. have a nice time

Yes, I expect the discussion starter's comment on my discussion. After responding to some discussions I go to the 'responded'tab on top of the page and check whether anybody commented on my responses. It is happy to see that the discussion starter commented on my responses. I am also very happy when I get a best resposne. I comment on many of the responses I get for my discussions. Sometimes it is very hard to fidn some time to comemnt on responses, but I willd o that because I know that people will appreciate it.

I agree. Aside that it makes the discussion livelier and it adds up to the earnings, it only shows you care enough to respond to their comments. Thanks for responding take care

I'd just get notified if I do get a response out of the post that I made. However, there are cases wherein someone has indeed replied to my post but, I didn't get notified. Anyway, I just post what I have in mind. If I get a reply, then that's good as I could get feedback to what I had in mind but, if I just don't get replied, that's alright to. (^_^ )

Well, I rarely check my email for notifications because I am always online in here so I just look at my profile to see if someone had responded on my discussions. I try to post a comment back even it is late, it is better rather than to ignore the response.

Well, yeah, you just have to look at discussions that you have started to see if someone new had posted something in your discussions, how about those discussions that you participated in? Most often, other members have posted their own opinions in the discussion but, that doesn't mean that the one who started the discussion has replied to our post, or anyone for that matter. Anyway, I too would always like to reply to those who have participated in my discussions but, if such posts in my discussions turns to be similar to each other, I seem to just paraphrase my previous replies for those new ones but basically have the same content (^_^")

Haha well if I encountered another same response, I think it's not bad just say "Thank you for the response" and I usually add "take care" to make it more nice. And if I think this person believes in God, I usually say "God bless"

Yeah i do. I just want to know if we agree on something then if not, i'll try to convince him or her to get to agree with me. lol! More like a challenge to me. Sometimes i couldn't help but be sarcastic about my next comment whenever i feel that that the topic starter just made a comment for the sake. I'd rather not get a reply.

Nice one! Well, I just let the response as it is, it is hard to convince a person so I just post my views about the response.

Hello cecille, Well in my case, I may be sometimes expecting someone respond my discussion depending on the question, but not always hehe...But anyone responding on my discussion is perfectly on their choice, I don't have anything to be angry if I don't get the expected responder... Happy mylotting...

Mylotting by schedule.. That sounds a good idea.. Do you always reach your minimum payout with that strategy??

Oh yes! At first I took this discussion in the different meaning. I read this again and again to understand what you actually are talking about... I may respond to about 5-7 discussions at a time in mylot continuously. I may be writing good responses, but when I finish it, I forget whatever I have return unless I get the comment from the users. It is always interesting to have the nice comment. Most of the time, I surely expect the user to respond back, because without it, I think the response I have given is useless. So, if I wrote about 5-7 response in the night then in the morning, the first thing I do is open the computer and check out the mails, that includes getting the comments from the users... And yes, when I give some special response, I am surely eager to wait for the comment for that response... At least, i comment of each and every response for the discussion I have started as fast as possible. If no words to tell, at least a thanks, that can make the responder happy too...

I try to answer each response I get to a discussion I have started. It seems like the right thing to do if someone takes the time to give their input. Karen

Hello friend! Well, I always expect for comments when I respond to a discussion because I want to see their views and reactions on my response. I sometimes post comments to the response of others to share my views and to add some information or to ask something. I do it so that there is interaction among the users and that is what a discussion is. Happy mylotting!

Oh you sure have a lot of thoughts in your mind to make the discussion livelier.. Are you an inquisitive person?
@boogerman (1544)

Yeah, because I want to keep the discussion active. I sometimes do that thing especially when the discussion starter don't seem to post a comment to the responses he/she had received. It looks like that I had taken the part of the discussion starter and I read the other responses and post comments in it, just what I have done last midnight. The discussion starter seem to be inactive at that time so I just do it because we can also earn by posting comments.

Hi, are discussions who ask answers and comments, when is nice to have a kind of conversation, and are discussion where i can t comment, because that topic don t permit long discussion. But if i start to answer to one, i try to answer all, i don t want make people feel offented that i responded just other person, not him. Is nice to have long discussions, is nice, but not everytime i have time to do this...i like debating

Usually when it doesn't permit long discussion, like you I also would rather not reply. Sometimes however I make sure that I reply to my responders however the least I can do is to rate them positive and at least read their comments just to show respect to their effort of commenting on your discussion.

Well, I also try to do that thing. I post comments on the responses that I have received. I sometimes post comments on other responses when the discussion starter was busy and we can also earn from posting comments.

Better not to expect a comment.. You will be disappointed if one of your friends you expect to response on your comment.. Just like what's happened to me before.. But I can't get the feeling of being disappointed when all of the comments were responded and yours is not..

No. in this case not. Sometimes is a bad comment. I like only i made a discussion and i'm waiting for responses.

Well in that case I don't reply to bad comments.. I don't want to give negative unless they are really abusive..

Have you ever received a bad comment? If it is, just ignore it. Well, I haven't received a bad comment because I always try to give quality posts which is related to the topic. Maybe because you posted on discussions involving politics and religion, right? All of us here have different beliefs and opinions so you might receive a bad comment if some do not agree with you and also, you might get negative ratings by posting on the two that I had mentioned.

It would certainly be nice to have the user's response to see how he/she feels about my answer. That would be a way of mutual communication. But, then, I do not see it as a must. I would be quite satisfied that I have done my part in responding to the message posted !

Well, its nice to have responses--doesn't feel like its all about business in here but I understand everyone comes here for different reasons so I just dont take it personal. I do think responses can be useful though because so much stuff comes up around here, its interesting sometimes.

Besides they must be also busy responding to other's discussions so we should just understand them. Either way we all earn here thanks for the response and take care friend.

I don't always expect something back no, but I do like to get something back from the discussion starter. At the end of the day this is meant to be about us all having discussions with each other not posting things that nobody wants to read enough that they might actually interact with us.

Yeah! I too expect the user's comment. Because, it helps us to know the standard of our response and it'll help us improve our responses. Also, they get more better responses by giving comments!

The first thing when I log on my mylot everytime is to check out whether I has got some responses. If I have some,I will respond back and add some new.I think it my duty to respond back because they spend time giving their ideas.

I think it's not really an obligation.. I mean what if the comment doesn't permit a response? Maybe the best thing to do is to just rate all your responders positive and at least read their comments.
