Hello all ...
some of us drink from the bottle directly without glass or cup ... and some of those people when they drink give a french kiss to the bottle by putting their mouths on it directly ...
recently I intended not to drink from any bottle out side my home because I won't drink someone's saliva !!!
what about you ??? do you give the bottle a french kiss or you keep it apart from your mouth ???

Well my son does it all the time! I used to do it in my childhood when I couldnt balance the bottle properly but my parents were always at me as it is not a good habit. Now I am at my son, but similarly, he cant balance the bottle properly and water falls on his clothes! Outside the home, he is very cautious as he doesnt want to be embarrassed. At home though, he just wants to be treated like a child.

okay. Then provide him with a sipper. And don't forget to clean it regularly.

Well, usually when its bottled water that are sold in stores, I do put my mouth considering that its only me that is drinking and the bottle is newly opened. Usually I always buy the smaller one which is good enough for me. But when I share the water to someone, I do not put my mouth.

I don't put my mouth on the bottle if I drink any bottled thing. Soda's, mineral water, and anything. I actually drink it before by kissing the bottle but right now I have decided not to because I fell like it is dirty or what. Especially the bottle of some softdrinks.

In my house we use to drink from the bottle directly and we put our mouth on it...
Obviously when I go anywhere I can't drink directly from the bottle, but if I'm with person that I know from a lot of time or if I trust them, I have no problem to drink from the same bottle of another person...
I am also a volley player and during the trainings or matches we drink everybody from the same bottles, a part when someone is sick and so he take private bottle!

I drink water directly by the bottle some times But I had never given any type of kiss to the bottle. I keep it apart from my mouth. It is just because I have the experience to do this. SO I can make a distance in between my mouth and the bottle

I never drink from a water bottle in such a manner! I always prefer to drink from a tumbler. In case of a bottle, I can drink continuously with a separation of few inches from my lips.
Making contact of lips with a watter bottle is not at all a healthy habit. But in case of children, those use water bottles for school purpose, it can be done as they have their own water bottle with specific design having a good drinking outlet.
Water bottle infections may be a challenge in these modern days!
Thanks Orabi for this nice posting and have a nice day!

hi friend,
I usually keep my mouth on the bottle when i drink water. It became a habit to me from my childhood.i keep my bottle as a separate thing at my house. No one will touch my bottle. The whole rights are given to me only and not to others at my house and also no one are willing to touch other's bottle.Because of that we can do whatever we want at house.I will be like that at my house itself. If i go to some other's place i will looked differently.I will not keep my mouth on the bottle if i drink in some other's house. In this way i switch myself differently depending upon my situation.
Have a nice day.

I never had the habit of keeping mouth on the cup while drinking. My mother had restricted to do so. Its my mother really to be rewarded for cultivating me that good habit.

Yuck! I will never give the bottle a french kiss. I won't even drink from the same bottle if I see somebody giving a french kiss to it. I hate that habit and I wll never do that. This habit helps to spread diseases through saliva.
When I was in school we used to take water to shcool in bottles. I never used to take water from my school mates because it is very difficult for me to drink using the same bottle somebody has given french kiss. I won't touch the edge of a glass if I am drinking water from a glass. I will touch it only if I am having a coffee or tea. I use a straw for cool drinks.

I will drink it directly from the bottle if nobody else drank from it, if someone drinks from it, only then will I waterfall it, because when you waterfall your drinks you have a higher chance of choking on it.
Also, just to tell you medically, such a small amount of someone else's saliva wouldn't do anything to you. It was shown on Mythbusters, such a small amount of the saliva contains almost zero germs.

Quite a queer question but nonetheless, here is my response :)
When I drink water from a bottle, I just drink it. I don't french kiss it or anything seeing as that's a bit weird. However, if I'm drinking from someone else's bottle (like a trusted friend) I would just give myself a 'waterfall' which means drinking from the bottle without making contact with the bottle (like spilling the liquids right into your mouth without having to touch the bottle with your mouth.
I see it as a really weird thing to share one bottle with someone else even if it's a relative.

No for sure I don't
It is so disgusting , and it will contaminate the water in the bottle and this will lead t disease spreading among people who share the same bottle
If I had to drink from the bottle immediately and there were no cups or glasses I would have raised it above the level of my mouth to make sure that I don't contaminate it

No way! I hate this habit ! This is a nasty thing which I don't like. This is not right. I never drink anything from a bottle outside my house unless it is newly bought by me. This is really disgusting and is a cause for many diseases. I hate this!
