Probably you should have forgotten your password or might be your caps on or off. If an website suspect the user also it behaves so as far as i had experienced.

Nomrally i did not hav these kind of problems in the website!!such as it happened to me to miss my password or just to be convincted that a password was in a way but it wasn't so adter tried i will restore my password following the process! This can happen when i did not use often a website so you can't remember well your password and hen you want entry in this may be you are thinking it is correct but it was not in reality!!If you have so often problems with passwords delas with a single website you can always notice it to the support service in this wathey can see and check if something is wrong in their system when you try to entry in the website!!

I've also the similar problem with yours.i'd had a bad feelings that somebody or somethings is controling my YM. Lately i found out that one of my friend told me that i was online the other night and he sent me a lot of chat message but i didn't replied back he taught i was busy on something that is why he never mind at all but the truth is i never open my ym account during that night. So start thinking that maybe somebody hacked my ym account and using my profile. I hope this could be stopped because they are abusing the rights of other people.

Im new to paypay, and have not experienced it yet, but try to check your password...i think paypal password is case sensitive and you have to type it correctly in order to login...

I have never gotten this problem before but it seems that it is a serious one. As far as I'm concerned, you should be more careful while entering your passeword. Make sure that you do not make mistakes in fast typing and that the Capslook button is off in order not to confend betwen capital and miniscul letters ..
Have a nice day & happy Loting.

While I'm not sure about your paypal problem, one thing I'd highly recommend is creating a "pw folder" or "registration folder" in your E-mail. Then after signing upto each and every site, when they send a confirm e-mail link, or e-mail with your user details. Move that E-mail to that folder.
It greatly reduces the time spent trying to find any pw's u may forget, or sites u may have already signed upto but forgot.
For your paypal, I'm assuming you check the caps lock key, make sure shift keys aren't stuck down as well. You may also try changing your pw to something that has very few letters close together to prevent accidental typing it in wrong, and when putting in the numbers, make sure the num key is on, so if your using that pad it's working correctly.

i encountered that before so what i did is i change my password. i think they have an option to change your password. I have my paypal since 2007 or early of 2008 and when i started using my paypal, it always said wrong password but i know it is the right one. So i called their customer service.

I personally have never had this problem, because once I type in my password I had firefox remember it.
I do feel for you, waiting for confirmation e-mails is such a drag! I remember when I registered on some forum a while ago and this guy sent the e-mails manually and I didn't get the e-mail for like 5 days! It was so horrible. -.-'

Some sites have character limits on their passwords so make sure you remember the limit so you'll know which characters went through the registration process. For example, if my password was "iliketoeatpie" some websites would only take some characters making my password "iliketoea". So thinking that the whole phrase went through, I'd type it in and end up with a denied and/or rejection notification telling me my password won't work.
But if it's for an important site, I'd try giving them a call, especially since it's PayPal and there may be something fishy going on with your account.
