I want to have a small business but the thing is that I don't know what business to choose. It's really hard to decide because of the fear the it won't succeed. I've been praying for weeks now.

I think you consider first what is your interest and hobbies by doing this you list down what could be possible business that will suite your interest. Then try to have a feasibility study on it. Figure out what could be your possible resources that could help build your business. A careful study of choosing a business will lead you to a success.

Hi Niah...I think when you're starting a business you should think about the things that you like to do. I'm sure everyone has a fear of failure but that makes it so much better when you do succeed! Think about what you truly excel in and what makes you happy to do and you'll succeed. Good luck to you!

I've thought about such things myself for some time. I have no idea what I'm good at or have an interest in to invest so much time and money. So I guess I am of similar dielma.

tutul and emmapep's right. If you have fears about starting a business right now, the is, you are not ready to start one. Lack of confidence and fear may well lead to unstable decisions and unnecesary mistakes. While you are undecided at the moment as to your business choice, try working for a business or company that you are interested in, or whose products/services you can see yourself selling or offering if you do have your business. You can learn, gain expertise and confidence while earning and weighing your options. I am sure soon enough you can come up with something really good that you can try. And if it doesnt turn out well, you will still have your job and a great learning experience. I wish you the best of luck. :)

Hey, Just as the saying goes.. Look before u leap is just perfect in your situation. Dont jump on things if u r not sure what to do. What i can suggest u is Y not try a job in some company and then get use to some work culture. U will get to know more abt how to do business deals and how to tackle situations better. And the plus point is u will get paid for it as well. So gain some experiance first and then assess when to start on your own. Good luck! Cheers, Tutul

I agree with Tutul. Getting some experience first would be the best start you could give yourself. Plus you need to find something that you love enough that it won't matter that you are living and breathing it while it's getting off the ground. HAve you got any idea what sector you want to work in? Good luck with it all, you'll have to keep us updated.
