What in the world is going on? What could make a person do this???

It makes my blood boil just thinking that there are people in this world who can do something like this. Even animals, having lower intelligence than we do protect their young ones, then how on earth do humans ( the most intelligent species on earth), commit crimes like these! I just cannot digest this fact. About a month ago I saw a news article on the tele. A man killed his baby, who was just a few days old, because his wife was not paying attention to him. How sick is that! People who commit such crimes are not humans, they are worse than animals.

It is sad to think about and read about. I dont think we will ever truly know what causes a mother or father to kill their children. Even if we do find out an answer it wont ever make sense to us. There are so many people out there who want kids and to hear about parents killing there children is just so very sad.

Its really an strange discussion and it is not that clear to me to answer you.

When someone is crazy, he/she can't think of anything right. Maybe in their hearts they didn't like what they did but their minds are not working right and it's in control of its actions.

My God. I can not believe that someone could do something as horrible as this one, more so to one's kids. Sorry, but I can not find it in my heart to think of a reason that prompted this person to do that. It breaks my heart.

People wage wars, drop nuclear weapons, kill innocent people, judge, stereotype, criticize, rape, sue, argue with other people. Every day 9,000 little girls are raped Every day over 1,000 people have their identity stolen Every day almost 30,000 people die Every day 5 children die of premature deaths And you ask why ONE person killed their kids? I think what's gone wrong with the world is people like YOU. You sit there all ignorant in your perfect little city, in your perfect little country in your perfect little world, completely oblivious to the horrible crimes being committed maybe less than 1,000 miles from you. That my uneducated friend is what's going on.

I don't 'get it', either. I'm a single mom of a great 16 year old boy. When I read in the paper or hear on the news that children are killed, it makes me sick!! The most recent one: that little girl,Kaylee ( I think that was her name). How could her mother do this?! What did that little girl do to 'deserve' such a thing? Just discusting!!

Hello citychic This accident happened in my neighbor , there was a man who has divorced his wife , she has the kids .. he started an affair with his neighbor who was married , one day his neighbor's child found him in the house , so he killed the child not to tell others , the mother was mad at him when she saw that so he killed her too .. the story didn't stop here , he went to his x-wife house , he entered the door killed her and her three children !! our society was shocked after the news told the story , now he is in jail, and doctors have interviewed him hundreds of times to make sure if he is insane or not , after the interviews they found him not insane , and he is now in the court .. I have no idea what would make such a man who is not insane to do this horrible thing .. he wasn't drunk , he is not mentally retarded !! I think he is not human

what did you hear?could you share the story?that sounds like a pretty sad story.our world is sad.i have noticed in our town there is no where for kids to go in the summer no decent place for the kids to spend summer while the parents are at work.now this is no excuse for a person to kill a child but doesint this scare you.and think of how the child felt it had to have recieved some kind of bad treatment beforew all of this.

I think some people just snap and can not control their temper,then on the other hand some people dont like being a parent.I have 6 children and it is hard work and some time children can push you nearly to your limits.Other people just find it hard to cope and they do not ask anyone for any help when they are having problems coping with children.I do not understand why anyone would kill a child let alone could kill a child.

There has been many news telling how a mother killed her kids or a father or even killing all the family members. It's scary just to think that that might happen to someone near us. I personally coud never do any harm to anyone and especialy to my kids yes I do get upset when they do something wrong but to kill them NO there is no way. I think that people that do that is because there is something really wrong is their head. They might think is the right thing but they are just not right in the head. Whe do not have any right to take other peoples life. And the economy and depresion are no excusses we should be strong for our kids and help them grow so the coud have a better life.

well, it is hard to explain, some people, when they face troubles that they could not handle, they decide to take their lives and tehir childrens. Maybe it is because they worry thier children don't have any support.

i think its becoz their weird psycho. why people will be angry with kids? i don't really understand it,but i do not quarrel with or fight with kids after i am no longer a child.last week a child in my living block happened to run into me real hard and made me have a great pain.ten minutes later his parents came and apologize to me.i didn't say any harsh words to the boy but to let her mother get this child away and i and his father delt with this matter. what surprise me is that, around us,many adluts fight and wrong treat children,and some of them even are proud of donging this and saying this!

i honestly dont know,but god forbid the poor children that have such terrible parents like that.i mean child abuse was bad enough and now we have parents killing their childrens.lets just say the world has honestly gone to crap.

I can only think that the person went momentarily crazy or suffered from post partem disorder.I cant see why you cant think to give this child to someone who is willing to make a life for this child.Thats when we really see that there is a god.

People do this to spite their spouses in some cases! Some people have mental problems like Andrea Yates was when she drowned her 5 kids! Some people just don't think! Some people just don't care! I think our world has no patience,no direction,no respect,and just don't care! I believe alot has to do with some kids who are raised by one parent,usually just the mom and the father is no where around! It just isn't that it is society! We have an uncaring society that gives you the feeling you can do anything you want and not care about it! When society changes the world will!

I have no idea what people could be thinking or not thinking. How could you harm a child in this way. I mean really, what is on their mind, why would they do this, what is going on that makes them think that this is anywhere near OKAY. If you do not want your children take them to the police station, call social services get some freaking help.

We have actually had it happen here. A mother had post partum depression really bad, and her husband knew. (not an excuse) The husband left the mom alone with the kids and she killed all of them. In this case, I think the husband is just as responsible as the mother. People who would kill children are not in their right mind. I agree that children can be totally obnoxious. Mine push my ever last nerve sometimes, but I cannot understand the mentality of killing them. Most of the cases I have heard about are a result of post patum, or a woman trying to impress her new man. I had postpartum depression but never thought about killing the kids because of it. One positive way to look it, is that maybe God's watching out for them and bringing them home to him, rather then leaving them in the care of an unfit parent. I am with you though, it's not something I could ever phathom doing. How someone can look at a little innocent face and take the life out of it, is beyond me.

Most likely those people had problems to begin with and their annoying little kids just made it worse. So they just killed the problem with out thinking about what they had just done.
