I'm looking for some good tasty recipes that don't need many ingredients in them. I really hate finding something that looks tasty to cook and then finding it needs loads of ingredients, half of which I haven't either got or I know I shall only use them once. Please tell me your recipes, don't send me to websites etc. One of my top ones is Bacon and onion roll, if you have no bacon you can use sausgaes. Pasrty is made from water, suet and flour, mix together, roll out, cut onion and bacon up, spread on pasrty, roll up and bake. If you want to know how much of everything I'll add it as a comment but I would like to know in your recipes how much of everything to use. Many thanks Anne18

well, I don't use bacon, sausage or suet in anything, but I'm a pretty simple cook My client likes dumplings, you make a chicken stock however you want (she likes it with chicken bullion), then mix half flour and half a bisket mix (what ever you have) with water until forms a nice doughy lump and then drop small bits (and I do mean small) into the stock until you have a fairly thick product, lots of dumplings and thickened by the flour and stuff too.

Biscuit mix is a ready-to-use mixture of flour, shortening, salt and leavening that can be used to make cakes, biscuits, pancakes, waffles, crepes, and any number of other baked items that start with the same basic ingredients. We have three main brands here: Bisquick, Jiffy and Krusteaz (which always made me think of "crusties" and not Crust Ease....LOL). I think there is somethink like it in the UK, but I'm not sure what it would be called. OK - Betty Crocker All Purpose Baking Mix. It seems that is YOUR version of OUR Bisquick.

Oh - and here, biscuits are closer to being tea cakes. Biscuits to YOU are cookies to US.

This the simplest I have ever heard and my friends and family love it. ...Sausage Wheels. SAUSAGE PINWHEELS 1 lb. sausage 2 pkgs. Pillsbury crescent rolls Divide sausage into 8 equal pieces. Separate crescent rolls into rectangles (4 from each package). Flatten rolls with fingers sealing perforations on each rectangle. Then place uncooked sausage on each piece of dough, covering with a thin layer of sausage. Roll up pinwheel fashion. Wrap in plastic wrap. Freeze. When frozen, slice each roll into thin pieces. Bake according to package directions

I did something similar with seasoned ground beef, but the loaf itself was the size of a meatloaf. It is baked whole and then sliced and served with plenty of beef gravy and whatever sides you would normally serve.

Great recipe for you right here! Sausage balls! I package of the ground sausage, a cup of shredded cheese and a cup of flour. Mix all together, you have to use your hands, and roll into balls. Bake them at 350 until golden brown. It makes a great appetizer! And they are really good with grape jelly!

you can go to www.taste.com and type in whatever ingredients you have, then use the recipe that comes up on screen. bacon, onion, eggs for example. meatballs have mince, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs and an egg. another good recipe site is www.campbells.com

Cut up a long sausage and mix it with potatoes and onions and fry the whole thing up. It's good! Cook pasta, add tomato sauce and some garlic and a little cooked ground beef. Cook rice, add cut up chicken and a lot of cheese. Heat to let the cheese melt.

Do you have an all purpose mix like Bisquick available. They have so many great pies that can be made with that product. Myself, I keep canned fish, tuna or salmon in the cupboard, cheese in the frig. canned milk, mushrooms, frozen vegetables and various herbs. I can make many different meals with these, add some canned beans and taco shells and canned soup, with salsa in a jar and we are good for a week.
