I love crocheting and knitting too, but the Internet takes too much time.. You live a bit far away so I cannot visit you at the moment and share patterns, but if you go to the local library, you might find some good patterns. I borrowed a book about knitting by Kaffe Fassett, and got a lot of inspiration from his colorful items. He also makes other crafts, yes, he is a real artist.. You probably already know him of course.. I have lots of magazines about crafts at home, but at the moment they are only collecting dust in the wardrobe.. I have to start a campaign for finish my unfinished crafts one of these days..

I have done needle point and cross stitch many years ago, but I love to knit and crochet. In fact I have a blog about the items that I have made.
