i was busy earlier so i just grabbed some toast, a bit of jackfruit jam and banana. but there were sunny side up eggs and scrambled ones, dried and smoked fish and fried rice also but i didn't have them. i didn't have time for hot choco and planned on taking it in a little bit but it's extremely hot today... i'll just go for iced tea after this post.

where are you right now? smoked fish is pretty common in our soil. it would be easy enough to get it in local markets.

It is not breakfast time here. This morning I had mixed berries, cereal with milk and some nuts. Of course I had coffee, black, no whitener or sugar.

I usually eat oatmeal or cereal with fruits, sometimes I eat bowl of white rice and miso soup. I am originally from Japan, rice and miso soup are the traditional Japanese breakfast and my daughter loves it as well, also very healthy so depends on what I want to eat at breakfast :) I was never to be a breakfast person either, since I had my daughter I just thought it is better to regulate my eating schedule better for my daughter

You eat rice for breakfast? They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So, that is very good of you. I don't always eat breakfast. But when I do, it is normally two scrambled eggs with one peace of bread. Of course my coffee too. Take care.

I used to know a Phillipino girl who used to eat rice for breakfast all the time instead of toast. She had white rice with a fried egg mixed in. I tried it (but not at breakfast time) and it was really tasty.

Hi Helscream - I must admit that I am not much of a breakfast eater...usually it's a lack of time. However, I do give breakfast to my children and it usually depends on what they are in the mood for that day. Some days they want Cereal, sometimes it's a granola bar, bagel w/ cream cheese, etc. Usually on weekends, my husband will make pancakes for breakfast and they will enjoy that with a glass of chocolate milk.

As well, the problem with breaskfast is that if you don't vary it up for the kids, then they will get bored of the same thing everday. Hence, in my house we always have 4 or 5 breakfast items available depending on what they feel like that day..

When I'm low carbing I have eggs and bacon with strong coffee, otherwise kellogs crunchy nuts (yum). I love marmalade on toast too! My fave is marmite on toast My kids are 2 and 3 and have enormous brekkies... 2 weetabix with milk 1 round toast with marmite or jam a bowl of fruit (chopped berries or banana) yoghurt they don't eat all that much the rest of the day though as this gives them a big energy boost. x

Hi, usually my husband has an oatcake with malted wheat cereal, I usually have bread and jam and the kids usually have a slice of jam on toast or oatcake with cheerios cereal. I used to like having an omelette on an oatcake for breakfast but not when I'm pushed for time lol

Yes I should! I am just so picky! The mixture sounds kind of weird or gross, but it is amazing. I looked for IHOPS recipe online and I have to say I was pretty impressed with myself. It's pretty much crepes filled with a mixture of cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, and sugar. Then you top with the frozen strawberries. I was nervous when I started cooking (that I would screw them up) but they were amazing!!!!!

I'm not much of a breakfast eater. I have to be awake for at least 1-2 hours before I can eat. I usually just have coffee and then a little while later, my food. I never really liked traditional breakfast food like cereals, but sometimes I will have toast or waffles (no syrup - I like peanut butter on my waffles). Also if I really don't feel like eating, I will have a fruit smoothie to drink instead.

if only I know lots of variation of food and the ingredients are available then most probably I would have to eat breakfast but since I sleep in the morning and not at night time so I have to pass on my breakfast.
