Hello there Luntian_Grace! I do agree with you that it is quite difficult to capture a butterfly through the lens or you know taking pictures of it. But I'm pretty sure it's because butterflies are amazingly beautiful insects so you have to be worthy to take a picture of one. The picture you took of the butterfly is pretty, gorgeous, lively! I just love it! haha! Well, I like it a lot. I hope I can take a picture of a butterfly soon, but I have years to come so I can wait. I really love your photography. It's just amazing.

thank you elic! thank you very much. you are saying that one of your friends is working with butterflies... what is his/her job anyways? is he/she doing a research about the life of butterflies? i hope that i can do things like that. i love animals and love to study the life of insects too. i also like to see lady bugs, they do have cool colors and take picture of them (i hope). most of the time i love to take macro shots. but they are flower, the latest addition is the butterflies. but if ever i will have new bugs photo i will let all of you know.

Not bad.. That's quite a nice shot.. And u are right, it's not easy to capture a butterfly as they tend to be alert with their surroundings ^_^ Butterflies are a beautiful species of insects whereby they come in many different colors ^_^ PLus, not many ple are lucky to be able to capture them on camera.. So, u have already done a good job here.. Everything depends on the right timing and now, u have managed it ^_^ hehe

I also take photos of bees and butterflies. You did a great job on this one. I found that butterflies and bees don't move as quickly early in the morning when it's still cool. It's exciting to find a butterfly on a flower and then watch as it begins to warm up and flap its wings. You can get some great shots when you don't have to chase them. Just make sure you're not in the shade.

Neat! Congrats on your first capture. Butterflies are really hard to get. They won't stand still long enough for you to take their picture! I think they're camera shy.;) I think the photo has very nice composition. The colors of the butterfly go very nicely with the colors of the flowers and the focus is good. I'm not really that great at photography (it's a mild hobby), but if you want to learn more about photographing butterflies, here are a few good sites I found: http://members.fortunecity.com/chinfahshin/1folder/howto.html http://www.ehow.com/how_17509_photograph-butterflies-butterfly.html Good luck taking more butterfly pictures!
