there is more to pc speed rather than ram..get c cleaner and get rid of junk from your pc.defrag hdd,uninstall old programs you dont tend to use.get the graphics setting lowered.increase virtual memory and cache memory,get your registries sorted by a good registry cleaning/organising software,disable startup programs..this will help increase speed free of cost.any doubts,feel free to ask..

Hi, For using pc for internet connection, it should have 512M minimum RAM. Now i am using 512M ram but have dual core proccesor. The speed is enough for browsing and download. But for uploading file it could be more slower. Have a nice days
