I just won a radio contest!

Oh, man! Is this discussion ever taking me back! Yep, I've won quite a lot from radio contests. I couldn't possibly list all the concert tickets I've won, all in one year. It seemed like I was at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland at least once a week all summer long with tickets I won from a local radio station. I also won $94 from being the right number caller (the station was 94.3) and also $104 (104.3). I won front-row tickets and backstage passes to meet the Rolling Stones at their 40 Licks concert tour. That was for making the best banner but it was a radio contest. I think the biggest thing I ever won was a trip for two to the Caribbean. That was totally awesome! Plane tickets, plus a 43' sailboat for one week, cruising around the different islands. I almost won $20,000.00, but there seem to be too many people born on my birthday. The contest was to be the first caller with a specific birthdate. The contest lasted 4 weeks, with the prize getting higher each week. Each week they'd announce another date and the last week, when the prize was $20,000.00, they called my birthday! I already had the first 6 numbers dialed in, waiting for the date to be announced and, when they said it, I dialed that last number as fast as I could, but it was busy. I got so excited because they picked my birthday on the last day of this contest, but so disappointed when I couldn't get through. Oh, well. I've had more than my share of good luck winning contests from the radio. I really should listen to it more because I miss those days. Even not winning, it's fun playing.

We have won concert tickets twice...once was for Charlie Daniels..my husband won them, it was in a local establishment, I almost got knocked out in a bar room brawl since there were about 50 places to sit and 400 people there. The next was for a concert at a local race track. We st there for 4 hours and the entertainment never showed up. In the meantime, local folks were showing up with their kids from dancing school...boring! Please tell me, what are the songs for Ruby's workout. I think she is great. I am about 30% through my weight loss journey and Ruby is so sweet and great motivator. I use my iPod to walk and workout.

Wow, Congratulations! It feels good to win anything in my opinion. I hope you win the other prizes to. I myself have won small things but nothing huge. I always try though. Not so much for radio contests because you usually have to be a certain number of caller and thats hard. The line is usually busy when I try. Oh yah I did win concert tickets one time on a small school radio station. They sure have some fun contests. Anyway good luck & again congrats on your awesome prize!

You do sound like you are quite a lucky person though, as this is not the first time you have been fortunate enough to win something from a contest. I once won something in a raffle when i was really young, can't even remember what it was not, but that's about it I think!

I have just won a radio contest from 92.7 fm. I felt very happy at that time.92.7 has askem the 5 questions and i gave all the right answers.when there is a discussion for a prize I was excited. i really enjoy that moment and i can't forgot that moment in my life ever.

Oh, I have won little things like sandwiches and stuff. My daughter in law would win things in her name, then when she won again she would give them my name. I am usually not in a position to call when things are going on. I guess I could try in the evenings but I forget to.

That is so cool Congrats! I havent tried in years to win anything off the radio. I did win once - the name the name of the song from a clip they played. I got a free pizza i was so thrilled.
