do you play lotto

Many years ago I used to spend about $20.00 a week on lottery tickets and over the years I probably won about $100.00. I likely spent thousands of dollars so one day I just quit buying them. For the past 15 or so years I have not bought tickets. When the jackpot gets up into the 30 million mark I usually want to buy a ticket, but I have not for so long that I end up forgetting to get one. I do have friends that spend about $60 a week on tickets and they have never won more than $10.00 but they keep throwing their money away. I don't put people down for buying them, I just think that money can be used for other things. Imagine if those friends had put the $60 a week into a bank account, they would have about 30 thousand dollars they could use to help pay down their mortgage, or they could buy a brand new car. I personally feel that it's throwing good money away.
