Fire Fox and Internet Explorer

I had to give up usin Firefox because it seemed to prevent me from using a lot of sites that I used regulatly, my daughter thinks it's because of the built in safety thigies. I use Avant browser no and it's much better.

Yes, this same has happened to me. Until I saw your post, I hadn't thought of using IE. It has been a long time since using this brand for using the web - forget the technical term! I would like to go back and use Firefox, has it is supposed to be a lot better security wise on the web. Hopefully Microsoft are not trying to sabotage Firefox! Who knows.... I can think that Firefox themselves would purposefully be trying to stop people using myLot!!! So, I would try using Firefox again, in say a week's time or whatever.... Curious....

maybe you should try reinstalling your firefox. for me i prefer using firefox because its easier to navigate and I already get used of using it rather than IE..plus firefox has a lot more features to chose from

I avoid using IE as much as I can because of it being targeted by viruses. Didn't stop me getting a deadly one recently though. Cost me over a hundred quid to have my hard drive cleaned and get back working again. I used to use Firefox but now I have Chrome, which works well. I also downloaded Firefox again so that I could get the Firefox toolbar for Entrecard. I do some of my EC dropping in Firefox now, but mostly use Chrome.

i seldom use fire fox, i always use the IE, it is better for me, my computer is not so good, it is very old, it is always appeared some problem with fire fox, so,i use ie.maybe you can uninstall and install again,mabye everthing will be ok. good luck!

Try updating your firefox and just to be safe run an antivirus. The last time my Firefox didn't respond properly was when my computer was infected.

Well the newest version of Firefix, Firefox 3.0.11 is just out so i think you should try it out. I personally never use Internet Explore because i think it is the least user friendly browser out there and it has no extra features and is really bland. Firefox is a really versatile browser

I prefer Firefox really, and I never had any trouble with Mylot work whilst I was on there. However, my computer has been fixed from a virus, (I had a brand new hard disk put in), and I'm working on Explorer at the moment. I find it very slow in comparision, and am considering downloading Firefox again. Brightest Blessings, my friend.

I find that Firefox works best for me because Internet Explorer is slow. Ifind that for myLot, however, Firefox is slow, but then it is fast for the other sites. So it could be that myLot is optomized for Internet Explorer viewers. I was wondering whether you could try the other type of browsers to see if they work just as well. It also could be that you have not allowed the blocker to allow mylot through because you set too high a firewall.

This is strange. As I use Firefox for a long time but I haven't experienced a problem like that. Perhaps there is something wrong with your Firefox. Try to uninstall it and install it again and it shall be OK. Have a good day! I love China

I am using FireFox at the moment and there doesn't seem to be a problem for me. Vista ultimate 64-bit. Try disabling your add-ons one by one and then see if there is an add-on causing the problem.

Hi, It's weird. I am using firefox 3.0.11 with no problem in myLot. To browse myLot page are fast to. And now more faster because i have some tips from other myLotter in another post discussion yesterday. Its about to make a little configuration in our windows software and some change in 'about:config' on mozilla firefox browser. Its work good for me now, with better speed and loading.

You must be using a beta version of firefox or some plugins might be missing or you have installed some security in your browser. My advice is to reinstall firefox Or use another browser like Opera having same features as firefox.

I think there's a problem with the version of fire fox that you are using...here it works fine with fire fox... I suggest u should choose the one you like and with which you are more comfortable with....

I never use Fire Fox and only ever use Internet Explorer for everything. I use an ordinary desktop computer although I wish I had a laptop.

That's strange I am using firefox - always have for a long time - and I have no problem with myLot. Try googling the problem I sometimes find answers and solutions this way. As for your second question, I really don't know. I don't like IE at all. I don't use it period, except for checking how some of my work looks in that browser. But there are plenty of people using it and enjoying. WHen it comes to preferences like these there really is no right or wrong - except that firefox is a better browser LOL - but I think people should use what works best for them.

I don't know why your firefox did not work with mylot..normally i use firefox when i surf the net and i never had troubles like that!!I use sometimes interent explorer but not so often as firefox...may be you had some problems who are not so spread or current for all users anyway if with Ie all work and were fine...you can continue using this browser..it is ok too as firefox i guess...

HI, from my end Firefox works better than Explorer. It is much faster and i enjoy using it. I think you should try Firefox again maybe it will work for you this time. Happy mylotting!

I use firefox now and never think about the IE.even though it is imroved the security.I also used two browser,maxton and opera.here the latter opera is installed in my mobile phone blackberry.I think it is convenient and fast to use the phone with "Qwert" for posting on mylot.I want to know your ideas and what about my ideas?

I'm using Mozilla Firefox 3.5 Beta 4 with my Windows 7 OS for almost 2 months now. . and I'm surfing MyLot fine. yeah maybe its a virus u caught flying around. . . or try reinstalling or downloading the latest Mozilla Firefox... also you can start by using CCleaner to clean up your system ^^V good luck
