Have you ever been the only passenger on a scheduled flight?

Many times I traveled on Lufthansa, Air France, & & & so so airlines. I was curious whether the day would come, when I was the only passenger on a scheduled flight. Finally it happened: On a CARPATAIR flight from Timisoara to Constanta/Romania I had 2 stewardesses and 2 pilots for myself alone. I felt like the US president on Airforce 1 in secret mission. Can you imagine? Have you ever experienced this as well?

I agree. I know that is what would happen in the US! It isnt worth all of their expense to just have one passenger.
I have been on an airplane that was less than half full! Of course, that was almost 5 years ago now. So gas prices had only ever reached about half of their peak. I think that flight would have been cancelled today, too!

Well ... in my case CARPATAIR (kind of a subsidiary of AIR FRANCE) had opened a new line. I guess it was the second or third day when they provided this destination.

Frankly speaking .... I wouldn't have thought to be topped on an international flight .... but look up astonysh's comment.

I haven't ever had that experience. It must have been a memorable trip to be the only passenger on the plane. I am imagine how special it must have been for you. It must have been unusual for the pilot and the stewardesses.
I am really keen on traveling. I went to Samoa and on a tiny island for the first few days I was the only guest. It felt really special and the staff went out of their way to please me. After three days so other travelers arrived.

Oh ooh ooooh .... a whole island for a guest alone is even more special than a plane! Well ... treatment wasn't that special by the plane's staff. They just served the coffee and a snack. The strangest experience was the welcome at Constanta airport: my 2 friends waiting for the passengers ..... and only me appearing.

HI constaanta,
That must havebeen a strange experience. It will almost certainly never happen again.
I once was on a flight from Munich to Genoa which had five passencers.
One of the other passengers was Jurgen Klinsman who was playing for an Italian club at that time.

I have been on a flight with 5 people on it from New York to New Orleans. They moved us all up to First Class and we drank the whole way! It was a blast.

Great .... which airline was it? .... seems AIR FRANCE didn't have so generous guidelines in my case for their subsidiary CARPATAIR staff .... I was served the usual snack, only.
