A miserable performace by the Indian side, contender for world cup 20 20 and lost meagerly to england. I think it was Dhonis poor captaincy which led to the debacle of the indian team! What a show! So do you agree?

I should not say that MS Dhoni failed, although the Indian team lacked the spirit and zealed of last T20 WC but still it was like the team as a whole didnt perform according to their merit..
See, there are various reasons for it:
1. Dhoni & Sehwag controversy. It affected the whole team spirit, I say even of Dhoni's. before the tournament like this, its necessary to have all matters sorted out.
2. Indian batsmen failed miserably. Yuvraj played one good inning, while Rohit Sharma, Yousuf Pathan, Gautham Gambhir and our MS Dhoni, they all did poor with the bat.
3. The decision of including Jadeja proved good. he took two wickets. and the dhoni's idea of sending him at no. 4 and stabbilizing the innings was also the right one, because the score was not that huge and they lost early wickets. But jadeja wasnt able to get going and he missed too many balls and he could not do anythign about it.. he was unable to hit, he was unable to get out..
4. In the end, two wide fours proved the crucial, especially the one bowled by Bhaji in the last over. If they would have not given that 5 runs, India might have been the winner..
It was like one of those days where bad luck accompanied the poor play. So, we cant say Dhoni has played. he is just having a tough time. He will surely come through it..

When bhaji bowled that wide ball which went for 5 runs... i said to myself that this could be the difference between winning and loosing... and was amazed to see that it turned out exactly like that.. the match was always under Indian control until Jadeja snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

sending jadeja up the batting order made india to loose to england , it was a very bad move, and also harbajan gave away 10 extra runs for 2 wide balls , that really made the difference

Dhoni failed miserably as captain. The team never looked in good spirit and united. also it does not look like something very nice.I anticipated long ago India will have it tough in super 8. It is actually the case now. Dhoni was just super hyped and his Honeymoon period is over.

Dhoni not only failed as a captain but also failed as a player as well. Given his scores he should be the first person to be axed. He was a total failure. I think it is better to hand over the captaincy reign to other players. He was the only person to be held responsible for the early ouster of Indian cricket tea fro the twenty twenty world cup.

Other than his captaincy, the way he played throughout the tournament was also a reason. Its almost the same team which won last year but in spirits its nowhere that one.. cos Dhoni was performing that time and with performance comes the confidence, to lead the team well. So had he contributed with the bat.. hje would have been a different captain all together.

yeh, i do agree wth you in holding dhoni responsible for this debacle of the defending champs. it his tactical blunders and innocuous batting which cost us so dearly. his roller coster ride is finally over.
