My headache started on Sunday. Normally my headaches are around my forehead which is normally sinus. Well Sunday, my headache started in the middle of my head on the left side. I took tylenol, no relief I put a ice pack on my head help a little bit still no real relief. Monday I woke up, my headache is worse. Here it is Tuesday still have a headache. I boiled some water and steam my face for about 5 mins. I feel a little better. I was able to wash some dishes, and spend a half an hour online. I am perplexed as to what type of headache this was. If it is sinus, the symptoms were sure different.

i think it could be migraine.
i suffer of migraine and generally it appears as a light headache like yours, from the middle of my head to the left side.
generally i have to take some medicins otherwise i cannot survive to the pain.
my doctor suggested me to take a medicin with an active ingredient called frovatriptan and it is wonderful. ten minutes after my headache disappear!
i can only suggest you to go to yr doctor and explain yr symptoms. he will advise you what you have to take in order to have relief!

I have not seen the doctor. Yesterday, it hurt but not as bad. Today, I am feeling a whole lot better. Monday, I laid in bed, and today I mow my grass so I am getting better. If it is not cleared up totally by Friday, I will see my doctor.

A few times I have had headaches that lasted for over a week. As soon as I would open my eyes in the morning, it was there. It didn't matter what I took for it, it just wouldn't go away. It wasn't a migraine (I have those sometimes too) just a horrible, nagging pain in my eye sockets and in the back of my head. I have Fibromyalgia so every pain I have is magnified because of the condition. I even had one headache many years ago that lasted for almost 3 weeks! I hope that I NEVER go through that again. Now when I have the long lasting ones it is usually for 6-8 days.

I never had an headache that last for more than a day. But I want to share my experience when I had my worst headache. I took an Ibuprofen. After more than an hour, my eyes puffed. My sister was a Nursing student so she told me that maybe I am allergic in Ibuprofen. After that, I have difficulty in breathing. So we went to the nearest hospital. The doctor told me not to take Ibuprofen again.

sounds like migraines to me.
i used to have migraines that lasted 4 1/2 days, and only stopped when i went to the ER and was put out.
one of the treatments they gave me was caffiene pills,so if you can get some coffee,it might ease your headache a little bit.

I've not heard of anyone having a headache for this long. My advice would be to see your doctor asap because it sounds to me like a pressure headache and you need some reassurance that it IS just your sinuses and get something to treat the problem.

I generally don't, thank goodness. My headaches usually goes away immediately after I either take a shower, drink water, or take a Tylenol. I usually only get headaches if I'm dehydrated or if I stare at the television for too long. So I try to avoid doing those things so as to not get a headache. Thankfully when I do get one they're never really that bad, so I guess I have it good. Hope your headache gets better. Try drinking lots of water, it usually helps.

When I was in my early twenties, I had a headache tht lasted over a month and nearly killed me! It was so painful it kept me from being able to eat or sleep, and I could not stand to be around ANY kind of light at all, I had dark sunglasses on in my room with the lights off! I went repeatedly to the ER and they just sent me home after shooting me up fuill of demoral. Painkillers did NOTHING for me. Eventually my weight dropped down below 80 pounds (I'm 5'4" so that was frighteningly thin) and I got blisters inside my mouth form dehydration. I was very weak and in agony. My mom finally dragged me to her doctor who put me on Elavil and within 2 weeks my head pain finally started to ease and I was on the road to recovery.
I am 36 now, and still get headaches that last for days, sometimes even weeks, but not as severe as that one that culd have killed me. SOme days I am crippled by the pain, but thsoe types usually pas within a day or so. I've had a dull headache for over 2 weeks now that I can't seem to shake, I think it has to do with the weather.
If your headache is severe and NOT improving, I gently urge you to see a doctor right away to make sure you don't have something dangerous going on. If you start to feel numbness on any part of your face or body, if you begin to have trouble speaking, if your vision changes, if you start vomiting, if you become dizzy or have any other unusual symptoms or if the headache pain feels like "the worst headache ever" these may be indicators of a serious and possibly life thretening condition. I don't say this to scare you, just to make you aware of some things that may be important to your health.
I hope you feel better soon, and if you are still feeling poorly tomorrow I hope you'll see soembody just to be safe. Take care.

I did have the same experience like yours. It also started on a Sunday. I believe that I have exhausted my eyes too much in front of the computer. It sort of handicapped me for two days because I could not open my eyes for a long time. I rested for two days and tried to get enough sleep. By the time I was to take medicine, it was gone.

Sounds like this is a Migraine as a lot of times this is how mine start as well, and since regular Tylenol will not touch them, then you need to resort to other things as well. I would hope by now if you have been experiencing these more often still that you have been able to be seen by a Doctor and ruled out anything besides Migraines causing these headaches. I know for me when I get a migraine I feel like all I want to do is escape until I start feeling better as well.

The last time I had a headache was because of to much facing the computer screen, which is 2 hours in a row, it was excruciating. And in other time if I have headache is often cause of my sinus ( chronic Sinusitis). It can be the cause of a bad cold coming up on you? You don't have High blood pressure don't you?

I've had headaches that last for a few days, usually when I've been on a long cycle ride (50+ miles). From research on the internet, dehydration seems to be the cause for my headaches - I just drink more liquid than the 'recommended' daily intake and my headache slowly eases away.
