An unpleasant viewing.

Why do some people come to watch movies?. The other day I went to see a movie. A slumdog millionaire. As soon as the movie started, a couple seated in front started their own discussions. Somebody from the back asked them to just shutup, but as they were in their own world they just went on and on not allowing others to enjoy the movie. Some commented from back that they are millionaires and so they can do anything., to which another commented that they are the real slumdogs. Frankly speaking I have my own doubts. The X generation. meapas.

What I don't understand is when two people are both seeing a movie for the first time (opening day or something) and one of them is asking the other one questions. Who is that? What are they doing? Why are they going in there? As if the person they are asking the questions of wrote the movie or something! I have friends who do that to me. They ask me questions every five minutes throughout a movie to the point I don't like watching movies with them anymore.

Yes you are right. Even at home when you are in the midst of a show, they will be asking questions. Very bad manners. meapas.

I hate it when people talk through movies. I hate it even more when there's a group of silly youngsters who just laugh and throw popcorn ALL the way through! It's just a complete lack of respect and common sense and it's becoming more common. Mobile phones are just as bad - before the movie there are HUGE adverts telling you to make sure your phone is off. But it's guaranteed that someone's phone will start ringing and they'll insist on disturbing everyone so they can get out of their seat and answer their phone, letting it ring loudly all the way down the steps to the exit!!!

This happened to us when we went to see "1408". There was a woman behind us making comments about the movie. The man she was with was asking her to be quiet, but she continued. My husband finally had enough and went to get a manager. The manager came back with a security guard and asked her politely keep it down. She was quite the rest of the movie. I was listening to their conversation before the movie started. I could not help but hear it since they were right behind us and her voice carried. I think it was their first date. It was probably their last. When we go to the theater we get their early and usually sit off to the side since the teens tends to sit in the middle section. There have been times when someone or several people sit next to us and are already loud. Then we will get up and move.
