Gitmo prisoners having a lovely time on our dime!

The pictures of released Gitmo prisoners taking a vacation in Bermuda makes my blood boil! What's next? Are they going to release Charles Manson, too? Maybe he can water Michelle's garden and walk Bo the dog! The part that infuriated me the most was finding out our lovely government had given this trash fake names and identities, and they're brazenly using their old names. It's only a matter of time before U.S. prisoners start suing the government to get these same perks as the Gitmo trash. Be afraid, America, be very afraid!

I think if you got locked up for 7 years - treated like an animal, tortured, had your faith shat on and had no idea when you would be released for a crime you didn't commit - the least you would expect for your troubles is a holiday. These are innocent people so don't begrudge them anything!

They wern't trained.
When they went over to Afgahanistan and rounded all those people up, a lot of people made false aligations about people because we were offering people money for any information. More than half of the detainees were released without trial, meaning that more than half had nothing to do with 9/11, they were just taken in because someone else didn't like them very much and wanted to make some money.
They are innocent people, if they were guilty they would have been tried.

Some of you are looney tunes-seriously. How can you think it's okay for men who were trained as terrorists by AlQuaida to be freed and sent to an island and its all paid for by us taxpayers? Do you even remember 9/11? Hello? Are there any sane people here? Do you know or even care that Great Britain was not told this trash was being sent to one of their properties? They are angry too, and rightfully so. They also have an idiot running their country. Some of these men probably slit our soldiers's throats. Or do you even give a hoot? Doesn't seem like it to me. You'll bend over backwards thinking anything Obama does is wonderful and great.

My dad always said, If you wanted to see the scum of the earth just watch the guard posts at changing time... I seriously wonder if you have ever been to a prison, or if you think that every single prison has the same lush conditions as heard of in the several outraging stories passed around the states.
Personally, I see bigger wastes of money in our country than our prison systems.

*laughs* since when are all prison guards soldiers? No, My dad was a good man who turned himself in for a crime and was sentenced to prison for I think it was 4 years, He was actually there with the prison guards, he wasn't just talking out his rear end. Not all our prisons are minimum security resorts, and If I remember correctly several of the Gitmo prisoners were only SUSPECTED of their crimes.

Yep. I'm sorry but in prison for years and partially blamed for probably the MOST angering attack On the USA in close to 2 decades, Without a trial, And possible torture, AND MANY OF THESE MEN WERE LATER RELEASED AS INNOCENT!!! Ahhh, here is a WONDERFUL article addressing both prison guard sometimes acting as scum, and possible torture at Gitmo

"The pictures of released Gitmo prisoners taking a vacation in Bermuda" I think the word released says it all. They have not been tried or convicted of anything so what is the huge problem? Perhaps you have some more info a link or something that I can view to perhaps understand where your anger is coming from? I have not heard anything about this.

I have found several articles of this, You act as if they are sending them on vacation. It is about them starting their lives over again. For seven years the US held these men because they might have been terrorist, after 7 years our country has found they are not a threat and you have a problem with us sending them to a place they can perhaps live in peace.
I have seen what the government has done to Muslims right here in the states when all this crap hit the fan. I watched a respectable young man that was working and going to college get detained and he was held for over week being questioned over and over again. Why because he was Muslim and his college friends where scared because that is what the government instilled in people back in 2001. Questioning a person is one thing detaining them for more than 24 hours is another thing without any evidence of wrong doing. His reputation destroyed because someone was scared of his religion. How pathetic is this?
