Have you ever stepped on glass or cut the bottom of your foot?

I stepped on glass in the middle of the night about 14 years ago. I was half asleep, and I just kind of made sure there was no glass still in there, and wrapped my foot in a towel and went to bed. It turns out I had cut it really badly, and actually had needed stiches, but by the time I went to the emergency room it had been too many hours for them to put stitches in, all they could do was put butterfly bandages on it, so it healed a little weird, I can still feel a lump where the cut was. Have you ever cut the bottom of your foot?

Not that I can remember, I did step on an "E" string from a guitar and it went right into my heel, that hurt worse than anything I've ever felt.

Yep been there done that. I was next door to home playing with a friend and walked across where the fire pit used to be and stepped on a chunk of glass. It was the middle of a hot summer, I got 5 stitches and couldn't swim the rest of the summer. It was the not swimming that hurt the most.

I havent stepped on glass and cut the bottom of my foot however...I had a sharp toothpick go right through my foot once when someone left one on the floor. It hurt more coming out than it did going in! I also stepped on a nail on the farm and had it go through my foot. Its very painful to have anything happen to your feet. I had a wart burn off the bottom of one of my feet and i walked funny for about 6 months because it hurt to place weight on that foot.

Ohh, yeah. When I was around 10 or 11, I was at a party at one of my friends' houses and went outside with no shoes on. There was a little sand pile in front of the house, so I walked on it, and ended up stepping on a nice-sized piece of glass that went into my foot. I don't remember whether I went to the doctor that night or the next day, but when I did go, it hurt like the dickens when he pulled the glass out. I still get shudders every time I think of that incident.

I stepped on a thumbtack once. It hurt for a while but the bleeding stopped after a while and I didn't need stiches or anything.

no I never stepped on glass that hurt my feet per se, but sometimes I have stepped into my shoe to find that I had a piece of something in it that I was putting my weight of my foot on and it felt like glass. I would then just took my shoe off shake it upside down and whatever it was would fall out.

I can't even count the number of things I've stepped on, fish hooks, nails, tacks, glass. The worst one was a roofing tack. I was wearing deck shoes and mowing the grass and stepped down on a roofing tack which speared my shoe to my foot. I had to go to the ER and have the shoe cut off, my foot numbed and then the tack pulled out...I couldn't walk for about a week. Once when I was a young kid I cut my heel pretty badly on a broken piece of glass sunken in the mud along the clay pit road behind my house. I still have a pocket in my heel that becomes tender ever once in a while when I'm on my feet too much. I was lucky to have survived; I found out later that I have a bleeding disorder. I was'nt afraid, my family really rallied to remove the glass, clean the wound and get me medical attention. That was one day when I felt they really loved and cared about me.

It was way back when I was a kid, but yes I did step on glass and hurt my foot. It ws not a big piece so It was just a small cut, but it was a deep cut and bled like crazy and really hurt. I didn't get stiches, but maybe I should have, but like I said it was small but deep.

I haven't ever cut the bottom of my foot, at least not bad enough to remember. I do remember dropping a paint can on my toe when I little and it hurting really bad. I also sliced my pinkie finger with an exacto knife! That hurt so bad I actually blacked out! I probably needed stitches, but I didn't do anything about it. Now, I call it my butt finger because it healed so weird it looks like a butt!

yes i have done this several times and it was really a painful experiences, and apart from glasses, i have also stepped on several sharp objects in the past such as nails and broken furtitures which have brought so much pain on my under foot, i think its part of the growing up process and one is learning how to be careful in all situations

Yes I have done this. I use to go outside all the time when I was little and not wear shoes. I stepped on some glass and also got stung in the foot by a wasp! I think the wasp sting was worse then the glass in my foot!

I stepped a bee before too, actually twice once as an adult, and once as a child. I think you are right the pain was worse than stippeng on the glass, as an adult I was sweating and wearing panty hose it was aweful.

yeah when I was 8, I got a cut from my feet from a tricycle (a vehicle in the Philippines consist of a motor cycle and a side-car - only in the Philippines lol). I was playing at the drivers seat and got cut while im imagining my self driving it. I don't feel pain but I cried all day because I was scared. It took 10 stitches to close the wound. But as a Kid, i survive it, lol.. I can still touch the stitch marks on my right feet until now..thanks haha i just remembered my childhood days with your post... =)

Yes, I have. I was in college then... My friends and I were at a bar and we were dancing. I didn't really feel that I stepped on the glass that cut my foot. I was surprised to see blood in the Church. You see, from our little gimmick, my friends and I went straight to Church at 4AM in the morning to attend dawn mass or Simbang Gabi here in the Philippines. I saw droplets of blood on the floor and then when were kneeling down, that's when I saw that my right shoe was full of blood!
