It takes me not even 30 minutes to get ready. I am in and out of the shower, do my hair and get dressed. I dont mess around. I try to go in the bathroom first because if I dont, my spouse takes hours to get ready. You ever hear the expression Sh*t, shower, and shave? Well I swear he does it all because he takes hours. lol I dont even start to get dressed until he's at least out of the bathroom. Who takes longer in your house?

I do. My husband doesn't take as long as I do in the bathroom. His hair is longer than mine and he just brushes it back into a ponytail while it's wet and secures it with a couple of elastic bands. Meanwhile, I have to blow dry mine and then there's the changing my clothes three times if we're going out someplace nice.

you sound just like my husband. I dont take long. I have always been like that. I seem to get right to it. Plus I dont wear alot of makeup. I dont need much to do my hair. I just add gel, flip upside down and blowdry, spray, then flip it back. Its all there is to me. oh well.

It sounds like you have good hair. I have this baby fine wavy cr@p that has a mind of it's own so it's either scrunch it with gel in it and work with the waves or control it with a round brush and the blow dryer.

My husband hands down takes much longer to get ready to go anywhere, he has OCD so it is understandable but it really gets old. Fast.

Oh you poor thing! I have been researching OCD and I have also watched the new series called "Obsessed" and It seems terrible to have to put up with that. Its terrible for him too. I want to tell you how much I admire your patience. I dont know if I would be able to be that patient. I hope he can get help and it will be easier on you and your kids. Nice picture of the children on your profile. They are beautiful. dl

He is not as bad as some of the ones on the show, He has a few routines he has to follow, mainly when getting ready to go somewhere and for bed. When I am in a really funky mood at night I will mess with him during his routine so he has to start over I do not do it often. But sometimes you have to do something to break up the boredom. And well his doctor even told me to do it.

Hubby takes longer to get ready for the day. He just likes to leisurely drink coffee in his robe. He looks at television. He piddles and dawdles and just takes his time. That is why he prefers to work second shift. I get more done in a half hour before work than he gets in the entire day. I try not to nag though, as he is thoughtful and does what he can to take care of me. It is just my personality to be in a hurry all of the time. People describe me as being "On a mission.". I get things done. Right now I am having a hard time getting up as early as I would really like to. I can get so much done early in the morning.

My husband and I are both very simply and very quick dressers. Both of us can be up, on our feet, dressed and out the door in about five minutes, believe it or not. I don't take a lot of time getting ready. I just grab and outfit out of the closet, put it on, and away I do.

I am soooo jealous! If I want to go anywhere, I have to tell my sweetie that its an hour earlier or set the clock back an hour so we'll get there sometime before the event ends. No lie!I usually get my stuff ready before hand. When Im ready to go, I just do my hair and move. I only wish I could get him to do that. If I try to help him, we argue so I have to wait until he does it his way. ON MY TIME. lol

I would say we are pretty similar, I am probably a few minutes longer. I get lost in the scents of my shower soaps and then apply lotion. But than again maybe not, I bring my clothing to the bathroom with me, he showers than decides what to wear.

That sounds like my house. I have picked out my clothes the night before.I take them to the bathroom with me. I have a plan, and get going on it. While the coffee gets ready, I may put a load of laundry in or do some dishes. Or cook another meal for that night. I may start breakfast, or pack a lunch of leftovers. After my shower I put on some moisturizer. Mine is tinted and has sunscreen. I may or may not add color makeup, like blush and eyemakeup, it just depends on my mood and what I need to do before work. We are taking clients to dinner theater in two days. I have had my clothes picked out for two days already. I will wear makeup that day.

Almost everyone I have talked to says that their man takes longer. THat is so weird! It drives me crazy. YOu dont know how many arguments we over this. He thinks that its too bad if we have a certain time to do things. We used to be late to everything business or pleasure. Now I just go by myself and he can stay home. WIth his god complex. thanks dl.

I would have to say that it is me that takes longer to get dressed. I have a hard time picking out something that will look right on me. I try on several things to make sure I look right.

humm I guess you would say I... its funny because he takes a 15 minute shower and I be wondering what in the heck is he washing.. why does it take him so long. the tricky part is all he has to do is shave and take a shower but I have to take a shower then put on my makeup and then hair so I guess I am the one holding us up.

My husband definitely takes longer, it really irritates me. I usually shower, do make up, if I am going to wear any, do hair and get dressed and sit and wait and wait and wait for him. If we are going somewhere a half an hour away, and should be there by two for example, at quarter to one I am ready. My husband will finally get out of his chair at one fifteen, go into the bathroom, come out of the bathroom, ask me what should he wear, then back in the bathroom, and by this time I am so uptight. I will usually go downstairs and wait in the car, hoping that will speed him up, but, NOT. He will finally come down fifteen minutes or so before we have to be where we are going, then drive like a bat out of hell

Literally I take longer than my spouse becaus eI need to draw eyebrow, comb the hair, look at the mirror make sure I'm pretty to go out :p and what not but my spouse just needs to put on clothes, comb hair, put on eye contact lens then we can leave, but the problem is he is slow, everytime when I say can we go? he 's like give me one more minute while he is on the computer and usually ends up using more than 15 minutes... so when we go out, I tend to get ready while he is doing his stuff so I don't need to wait that long when we go out.

My spouse and I only take approximately 10 minutes to shower. Maybe because i have short hair and i do not like to stay in the bathroom for too long.

When I was in my teens I would take longer to dress-up as my Boy friend would comment on my dress and the way I used to dress up. After my wedding last year I take lesser time to dress up. My husband ofcourse helps me dressing up sometimes. When I wear tight jeans he helps me pull it out ;)

Since I am a woman, it is definitely me who takes longer to get dressed. On working days, I need around 30 to 45 minutes to get ready, from taking a shower, put this little body treatment, get dressed, do my hair and get dressed. Sometimes it takes me an hour if I wash my hair, lol..While my husband, he showers fast..it might takes him only around 15 - 20 minutes to get ready..so, he complains a lot sometimes. But what can I do? I am a woman, lol..

I basicallu take longer than he does because I have long hair he has short. I do a lof of things to get ready unlike him. I love taking a bath and that is my weakness. I love to pamper myself and make sure when people see me outside I am well dressed, simple but elegant. But the funny thing about it, if I were to take up and dress up as well together with my son we both are faster than him like on Sundays. I don't know why but if I do things at the same time, I go faster that way.

Definitely me! Everytime my partner and I plan to go out. He always ask me to shower and get ready first. I spent about 15 minutes in the shower and spent about 20 on make up. He will only step into the shower after I dressed and starting to put on make up. Sometime when he step out of the shower, I'm still not ready... I don't know, I like to take my time. Of course it only happens when we have functions to attend or going out partying because i want to look my best, for me and for him. I used to live with my friends, and there was one girl who spent 1 hour in the shower, everyday! I don't know what she was doing inside, I never asked.
