What do you focus on when you are travelling?

I take lots of photos when I travel to different countries. Then I can take and keep some special memories of the places that I have been to. I like to meet the local people and find out about their culture. It is interesting to visit museums to find out about their history. I prefer to stay in a locally owned guest house than an internationally owned hotel. I have to go shopping in order to get a costume doll for my collection. I like to buy gifts for my mother and my sister.

I just love taking snaps of whatever new I come across. And in a new place, I take snaps of even silly things as when I see them later, it feels good to know those new lifestyles, ways and scenes. And, obviously, I go shopping and buy as much as I can as it also makes me feel I have a collection from various parts of the world.

We travel whenever we bump into airfare promo on the internet. And i dont go to that place to shop. I go to that place to explore whats nice, site seeing and experience new things. I also love to go around the world and if given the chance, te first place i wanted to visit is europe-france. and i want to be there with my mom. Someday..hopefully.

What do you focus on when traveling? Hello etomaggie, the first thing that I focus on during travel is I try to have complete peace of mind and enjoy the view or the sites. I've not done very much travel myself. But I have gone outside the country once, I went to Korea. Now that you've mentioned broadening our horizons, it make me think about the new trip that I'm thinking about taking. I have always thought about going to Austin, Texas because I hear it's a fun place for people that are really into the Arts. So I want to go there as soon as I get the chance. Plus I have a niece that lives in Texas so she might be willing to show me around and I could get a broader perspective on the place since she's been a resident. Anyhow picking up souvenirs is fun but I could care less about all the shopping, not unless there is some really good deals going on somewhere. Anyhow I would love to go there just once and check things out. Hope you do get to travel around the world. take care, happy mylot.

I love traveling. I always make it a point to go see a nice and different country every year. When I travel, my number one agenda is always go sight-seeing. I see the sights and I imbibe the culture and lifestyle of that country. I always do research on the famous places and tourist spots in that country. To add, I take lots and lots of pictures. What is the point of traveling if there are no pictures to accompany it, right? Pictures serve as my souvenirs and memories of that country. I also make it a point to eat the local food of that country. Shopping is the last on my list.

When i am traveling i focus on the beautiful scenes that pass by.I also focus on the change in the taste of food.I also focus on the time required by the train to reach the destination.I also focus on the new and different cultures of people.I also focus on the animals that are found in the station.I saw some monkeys in the station running after food and climbing trees.

I want to sight seeing when I am traveling. I like a lot to see many wonderful views when traveling. Taking pictures on different places is nice to collect and to made a lot of souvenirs will add to your collection.

I love travelling and it is also one of my dreams to travel around the world one day. I think that travelling is a great way to experience a different culture and that is one of the things that I really enjoy about travelling. It is very interesting to me to see countries that are very different from my own, and I like sightseeing very much. I also like to take pictures, to eat the local food and to learn a bit if the local language. Shopping is nice, too, but it is not enough for me, I definately want to get to know the culture and the lifestyle.

I seldom travel, should I travel however to a new place, of course while on the way, I'll start to enjoy seeing beautiful sceneries, I passes by. I should know what's the place been famous of and have a visit or taste the food their known for. Buy their products and have these as souvenirs to friends and relatives.

When I travel I but souvenoirs also. But, I also do love to sightseeings and seeing places whereever I travel to.

when travelling the first thing in my mind is to go see what that place can offer. tourist spots, place to go swimming and whatever unique things that can only be found in that place. also picture taking will be part of it, serves as a remembrance of the place that i've been there. im going to go try some local foods too. the last time i went to travel i did not go shopping, but went sight seeing... shopping would be the last thing on my mind...

I am not one that spends a lot of money in shops when I travel. I may buy something, but it is usually inexpensive. I like to experience the culture an history, visit museums, eat at unique restaurants and sight see. I always take pictures.

i focous my attention on architecure and culture differences when i travell. Accodring to my economic status, it needs time for me to save money to travel abroad. i always imagine that i visit foreign countries, like south afria, greece, and russia. the thress places present differnt favors. South afira is passtiontare,where u can enjoy the pleasant sceneary that monther nautare granted us. In greece, the romance building, the amazing architeuture spin in your eys and blue ocean as well. For Russia, it is mistery to me.But whenenver i go, i like to see the building that own by its unique architecure styles.

i guess you are right and i agree with you on that . When we travel we should go back to our country or place with something with us from the place we visited, also we should learn as much as possible their cultures and beliefs in order to understand them better

I believe there are all kinds of people in this world. I don´t think everyone of the people who travel do just to go shopping. I have even discovered that it´s less expensive to buy a drink at my local supermarket than at a dutyfree. I do buy some knickknacks when I travel. Mostly I bring any small present for my grandchildren as they expect it. But I would not spend a lot: a T shirt with the name of the place, a mug with an allusion yto the place I went, some unexpensive crafts. That´s all. I take pictures but have found that the best pictures are the ones I took with my heart and not with the camera. The most important things I bring back from a trip are my memories. And I love to travel. I live frugally in order to save for my only luxury: seeing the world. Happy posting

Yes,I agree with your viewpoint,I'd like travelling ,when I arrived at a city or other country,firstly take many photoes in the famous place,buy many local products and clothes for my family.

Sleeping is the best traveling mate I ever need. But getting some crafts and some souvenirs is great as well. But shopping aside I agree that one should try the local culture and practice just to really immense one's one in a lifetime experience during any holidays.

I love travel a lot however, I dont get the chance to do so more than I wanted. I always focus on the historical places of that destination and try to learn more of the culture. Malls and shopping are almost thesame everywhere and it can be done in whereever you go, so, I try to spend my money on experience I can keep and unique to try in that palce.

I think photos and souvenirs are important when I am traveling. Photos are important so we can recall our experience before. Souvenirs also become an important thing to buy when I go to different place so we can have 'history' from that place
