Dear all,
As we all know, life is full of changes. Life changes, relationship changes, work changes, friend changes, role changes..etc.
Are you afraid of changes? Some people told me that they are, because they get used to the familar environoment and they are uncomfortable with the upcoming changes. Some people told me that no, they don't afraid, because they like challenges.
What about you?

That's right. Changings are happening no matter we like it or not. Go for it and you will gain more than your thought.

I'm not really afraid of changes, sometimes I embrace them. I like discovering new and interesting things. I guess thou I dont have many changes as Im a SAHM and more or less do the same things or at least Im in the same place almost everyday.
The biggest change we have had was/is grandbabies and the reason it has impacted so much is we legally have our 2 year old grandbaby and have had her for the whole 2 years. It has been a big change seeing our youngest was 12 when this occurred. She has been a positive change however as we all love her with everything we got!
Yeah so I guess Im not afraid of changes. =D

Hi,Vivian, I like changes in life. If there is no changes, life will be monotonous and dull. Just think from childhood days to the present age we are always facing changes knowingly or sometimes unknowingly. If we recollect our past we will find that all of us have overcome many a changes very smoothly, be it positive or negative. Change is everywhere, be it in nature or in real life. Life is a journey -- we have to sail it smoothly.

Changes does bring challenges. However, if I afraid of changes depend on which kind of changes. I can adapt to Some changes quickly, but other changes are not. All in all, does you like changes or not, they come by sooner or later. So we just prepare to accept every changes that coming in the future. Have a wonderful day.

yes, sometimes i'm really afraid of changes.
generally i try to organize my life, since i have lots of things to do during all day. but when something different happens and my program cannot be followed, i do not react well at first impact!
i have a very bad reaction... then i reflect on what to make and i relax myself.
changes sometimes are so important and it is not so easy to face of!

In making my answer to your question, I remember one song sung/sang by Celine Dion - The power of love ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BHoj8uFdr8 ). It reminisced me on the lyrics for these words "Sometimes I'm frightened and ready to learn" to produce "I'll do all that I can". Meaning that, I must not afraid of changes by learning how to love changes. A kind of futuristic thinking in hoping thaumaturgy.

I like your thinking. If you afraid of something, that thing will grow stronger than you are, if you are not afraid of that, you will be the stronger one.

To be honest, yes, I am terrified of changes. Not small ones, but losing my job, Bf, kids, things like that. I understand that life is an ever-changing thing but there are some things so dramatic that I just get nervous thinking about them. I get used to things being done one way and when someone else comes in and does it differently, it rattles my nerves. Then again I have OCD and that seems to keep me in a routine about things.

I'm afraid of changes if before it takes place am aware of what negative things it may bring but changes for the better of course not. Though we won't realize the effect of changes until we welcome it.

Hi vivian, i remember there is a saying that mentioned, everything in this world is changing except change itself. This is really true, and meaningful i think. Indeed, there're changes everywhere, and everyday. For me, i would rather say that i have the resistance to change, instead of afraid of it. From the science or physics perspective, that is a law of nature that things have the resistance to change, which is called inertia. Things will remain unchanged unless it is provided with energy or a force from other sources. So, i think this applies to we human beings too. I do agree with you that as we have adapted or get used to the comfortable environment we are having now, we will resist changes, or some of us will be afraid of it. This is probably due to the scare that things will not be the same or will become worse if we move out from the comfort zone and accept changes. I think we should take changes more easily, and take the time to adapt to changes in our life.

Very good point indeed! Changes are not scary, but it's the mind of the people make themselves get scared.

I'm not necessarily AFRAID of change, but I know that I definitely don't like them. Usually, anyway. It kind of depends on the situation and what changes are being made. Like, for example, they're remodeling one of the grocery stores in my area. And I'm actually liking it! It's looking so much better and nothing's getting moved around too much. This change is a GOOD change. It's almost like getting something new.

Hi Vivianchen!
I am much facinated by negative and positive waves of life, as the saying goes, "Change is the only constant thing in life". Changes makes the world go round, it makes life more fun and exciting! I am not afraid of change because im sure if you trust yourself and has a strong faith in God there will be better change but ofcourse you will work for it.

Yes, I have to admit I am afraid of changes. It is because of several reasons. First, I love order and routine. Second, I like familiar stuff and an familiar environment. With a familiar environment, I know what to do and I am confident. Third, I don't like changes because with changes, you will have to learn all over again and start from scratch. What if I am not good enough for the new change? I would have been crushed and very disappointed. My self-confidence can even go down. But now, I am trying to be more flexible.

Change is inevitable. As the saying goes, nothing is permanent in life but the word change.
I am afraid of change, yes, I admit. Because if there's a change, that means I will be out of my comfort zone. I am afraid but I don't contradict it. Because I know, we sometimes have to face the change as it will makes us improve into something better.
