Dial Up Tweaks???? Help

I've noticed that you're measuring your speeds based on software. Utorrent and Opera use multiconnections to get a single file. This is then summarised by their respective programs as an overall connection speed. So if you have 4 Connections to a single file, each connection averaging 4kb, then the total speed would be shown as 16kb. Browsers have 1 connection to each file it is downloading, so you will only ever see the connection speed of downloading a single file using a single connection. Browsers can download more than one file at a time. There is a tweak which increases the number of connections you can have, this doesn't affect the download speed. If I recall, there is another which alters the size of the "packet" which influences the speed slightly, but overall, Windows manages connections well enough for most people. Personally I have not found any great increase in speed using any of the tweaks you can find on the internet.

Hi, You should try Mozilla Firefox 3.0.11 as an option. This browser allow the user to optimized the speed connection. By using 'about:config' in address tab browser, we can use the setting more effective in connect trough low problem connection (dial up connection) have a nice days..

I too have the same kinda dial up connection. Use Chrome browser. It's better than all other browsers. YouTube is great in Chrome! Download using DAP. Orbit downloader is also good. Use some Internet Accelerators. That's what we can do!
