Could you eat tacos every day for dinner?

My daughter loves tacos and would have them
everyday if I would serve them. But, of course,
I don't serve tacos every day.
As for me, I would love to have burritos, but not
too often.
Would you eat tacos everyday?
Some people say that they would never eat the
same food day in and day out, but those are
the same people that have the same cereal for breakfast
every morning.
Which foods would you eat everyday?

Well if they were healthier to eat yes I could eat them everyday I could eat a lot of foods everyday if they were safe to eat every day, like pizza lasagna eggs cake cookies ice cream, and a bunch of other delicious unhealthy foods that I love, but if had to choose just one food to eat everyday it would have to be pizza for sure, I love love pizza.

I liked your idea of adding rice into the taco blends. I think that would be very filling and would help cut the fat without introducing a competing flavor or texture. Great plan.

Really she prefers tacos that way, with the rice.
And when I make the tacos without the rice
she asks for the 'regular' kind.
Most times, I even blend in pureed tomatoes
for extra nutrition. She doesn't even mind.
Figure that I should get her started on
healthier eating at the preschool stage so she will
want to eat that way later.
Fingers crossed.

I'm a big pizza fiend too.
But the second I see all that shredded
cheese, I get thunder thighs!

I probably could, but don't think I'd want to. I'd have to switch it up once in a while, even if the ingredients were the same. I'd mix the beans and meat and use soft tortillas and make burritos. I'd break the hard shells up and use the meat and cheese and beans as a topping like nachos. I'd put the meat on the lettuce topped with the cheese and maybe some beans for a taco salad.
My mother in law made the same thing every day - EVERY day. Pinto beans, fried potatoes and home made tortillas. Believe me - hers were the best after so many years of making them. But, I just didn't want them every single day, three meals a day. Yet, I can look back and remember just how good they were. They were the most affordable staples in the house, so they had them every meal. At breakfast, they added eggs and meat. Other meals they'd add other items. But, those three basics were in every meal made at home.

I think that is how our families had to eat when times were tough, and you know what, they did not gain weight as much as we do. It probably was a kind of filler, but they are healthy things, really.

Having staples at every meal is a smart
way to stretch the food dollars. Might try
something like that. Will have to give that
some thought.

You're probably right - they did things that were more physically laborious than we do now, so it provided energy. Funny thing is, eating that many beans that often didn't even bother me, you know, THAT way. But, now, after not eating them for a long time, I sure know when I've had them!! LOL

I could do it for a week at least. I have been able to eat Watermelon EVERYDAY from Spring to Summer last year and finally grew out of that this summer as now I do the same with ceasar salad. I love me some tacos, nothing fancy just lett tom cheese and some beef and love crunchy tacos but I do not normally eat a lot of meat and do not think of would benefit from it very much so I just eat them on special occasions.

I just love Tacos, unfortunately they don't make them as well around here. When I lived in California, I was introduced to the Tacos. Every day, while my husband was at work, I used to wheel my son in his carriage down to the corner of our street, where there was a Taco Bell. Everyday, I would get a Taco, and a Fried Burrito. Then every week, I would make homemade Tacos for my hubby, to eat at night. Within 6 months, I developed terrible cramps...the hot sauce that I was eating so often, totally destroyed my stomach, that I had to stop eating them.
When I moved back here, I discovered that the Tacos were no way as good as the ones in California. I think they make the Tacos to go along with the nationalities that are in a particular area, and because we don't have as many mexicans here, they don't make them as spicy.
The food that I could eat every day, is actually Tuna Fish. If anyone is familiar with D'Angelo's Sandwhich Shops, they have the best Tuna Pockets. However, I can only them once a week, because there's too much mercury in Tuna Fish, and doctors don't recommend us to have it all the time.

I would not eat the same kind of taco every day, but I could eat a variety of tacos, or burritos, or tortilla roll ups every day. I would put beef, or beans, or chicken or cheese,or veggies in them. I have had fish tacos. I do tend to eat potatoes as my go to food, or eggs, as well. I love potatoes just microwaved. Eggs, either scrambled with veggies and cheese or cooked in a microwave egg cooker or hard boiled. If I have no one to eat with, I will tend to eat the same thing over and over, because it is easy. I try to keep a lot of frozen veggies on hand and make them a large part of any meal.

My best all-in-one dish is rice (cooked in microwave but not instant)
blended with frozen veggies (Stir fry mix), light red kidney beans
and some type of meat (chicken, salmon or beef), and seasoned well.
That works well as the basis of any meal; including
a chicken wrap. Those are always very delicious.
I always include this rice blend as the basis for tacos when
serving my daughter so that she gets a full serving
of veggies in the meal.
Thanks for the multitude of meal suggestions. Will try out
some of these ideas.

Perhaps you should let your daughter eat tacos every day until she tires of them? lol. I prefer your burritos myself, and fajitas even more but then, I still couldn't eat them every day, because I enjoy variety and I do enjoy my veg.
I don't eat cereal every day either; sometimes I have an egg and some bacon with tomatoes and mushrooms, and sometimes just toast with an egg on top, or even just a yoghourt or grapefruit. Variety is the spice of life my friend!
Brightest Blessings.

I would not be thrilled with the idea, but I could do the taco's every day. I managed a Taco Bell before, so I had a taco in some form or another once a day, 5 days a week, for about 2 1/2 years. I rarely eat taco's now. Pizza I could probably eat every day.

Hey!
How are you I hope well! I don't think I could eat Tacos daily. I get in my Mexican moods and will make them , and then usually I will have my fill . I would say maybe I will have them once a month . Sometimes , with a crave it is easier to just go to taco bell LOL and cheper as well too. But thing is homemade ones are awesome too with nachos and cheese!

I could eat tacos most nights. I would just change up the fillings. Chicken, steak, beef...I love them all.

I think I could eat tacos everyday for at least several days in a row. Especially if I could mix them up a bit like have normal taco bell tacos one day then exquisite carne asada tacos the next...maybe throw in some chicken or fish tacos once in a while.
And maybe...just maybe go totally crazy with tacos and make a variant that uses sandwich meats (turkey, ham, roast beef, etc)
I could also do burritos, nachos and quesadillas many days in a row consecutively.
