I lost my job which started just 12 days ago.
It's absurd. The reson why I lost my job is the elder who wanted to resign changed her mind, and decided to continue working in this company.
I know it helps nothing to complain.I just feel bad, and want to cry and write to relieve my feelings.

It is a sad thought that you were the ones affected by a decision made by your senior employee. Well it may be a good thing for you on the other hand, although it may be hard to find a new job to replace the one you had right now but then just think of it if it was the elder employee who lost his job. It would be doubly hard for him to find a job because of his age while you can find one just be patient and you could be easily rehired because you are younger and you employability is more compared to the one that save his job.

Its reality its hard to earn the money when you just depend on your employer or a company to work at. but at least this time you have to think on how to do investment on your own effort that you can earn from being entrepreneur.

It really hard now days to find a permanent jobs. Even in our country, it is very hard to apply. Upon submitting a application and keep follow up every weeks. They will ask that you to wait them to call you. Others reasons their is no vacancy at the moment because the top position, the middle or the lower is not yet vacated or the elder one is not yet resign. Some offer temporary employment for six months on a probation status. Nepotism is also rampant and many resort to self employment or engage in small business to help in family income.

oh beleive me I know what you are going through. Three months ago I was laid off and at the time I thought I was safe. The reason being the time before when they laid off they went company time not department time. So I thought I was set. But guess what this time they decided to go department and that means that I got laid of and boy did it hurt. It still drives me nuts how the company can decide to do what they want and not give a dam about there employees. Oh well I am hopeing that I wont off long or there will be another job that will pay close to what I was making. Keep you chin up it will get better.

I am so sorry to hear about that. However you make take this time to make additional income (for example in MyLot) or learn something new while looking for another new job. By the way, you may find any job that's available in stead of being too picky on the job you're looking given that the current economic situation is very hard to get a new job. Good luck to you and hope you can get another new job soon.

Well, that's just awful, but look at it this way, they valued her and that's kinda rare these days. I have found from past experience, that often what seems like a sad ending can just be setting the stage for another even better beginning. Okay that sounds real philisophical but it's been true for me. Give yourself a day or two to be angry or sad and then you need to try and refocus on your next job.
And see if you are eligible for unemployment, tho I don't think you were there long enough. Are they willing to try and help you find a new job at all? Maybe there is some way that they could help you along.
Try not to limit what kind of job you are looking for, make a list of what you really enjoy doing, what kind of environment do you like to work in so that you can find a better match next time. I wish you the Best of Luck, at least it's Summertime so you can enjoy that while you look....

Don't let it get you down too much. Look at it this way, when one doors closes, another one opens and normally that other door holds a much better opportunity. If you can't find anything right now, be creative and find a way to use your own talent to make money for yourself. Sometimes, the best inspiration and ideas comes out of necessity.

That is really unfair! What your employer did to you was highly unethical. I don't blame you for feeling so down, especially now that there is an economic crisis and it's becoming more and more difficult to find a job. But even so, I believe that you could still find a good job if you really work hard to find one. Good luck!

it is not just absurd. but really it really sucks. hehehe. losing a job or quiting a job that you seem to think that i is okay for you and would perhaps give you comfort for time just suddenly loses it just give you a reason to shout and if not cry.
i am too about to lose a lovable job, due to the fact the company is not gaining much revenue as well as the global crises roams around town.
though the company is offering a separation payment but that nothing compare for the time you serve and grew upon with. your love for the work and the comfort you are in are incomparible.
it is never easy to start and find a good job due to the fact of tons of competition on the outside world. when one have a job, love, care, and cherish it. make it your home. make it your life.

i am so sorry to hear that. a really sad thing that happened to you. we have been out of a stable income for more than a year now and it's really hard. we've been doing everything just to get by.
just think on the positive side, well at least the elder still can provide for his family at his age, when its more harder to look for a job when a person is already old.
i do hope you can find a new job as soon as possible.
