I don't have any distinct things that I do to save money but what I do is the day before pay day, I empty my purse & put all that money in my piggy bank & when that is full, I take it to the bank & put it in a hugh interest savings account. I also have another high interest savings account that takes $5 per fortnight from my normal every day bank account. $5 doesn't sound like much but it does add up when you don't touch the money.

I try to save money but that is a hard thing to do with the high prices of everything. We are also having to pay out more to try to get some bills paid off also. We may be able to save after that.

it is vital to have some cash savings in case of emergency. Also, it would be nice to be able to afford a big purchase (in the future) wihtout rleying on your credit card. It's like a reward for working hard and not spending every penny that pass by your hand. Personally, i have a budget template in excel. i try to allot a percentage of my salary as savings. it's considered spent so no matter what, i dont touch it.i make do with whatever cash is left. This way, i can monitor my spending activities and assess whether all my expenses are necessary. It sounds geeky but if i dont do it this way, i end up spending all the money i have within the month.

There are variety of ways that you can save your money and it is a good thing to always save our money.I usually pend only 30% of my earnings and the rest are all left in the bank for future use.We never know when emergency will happen so saving up is easier, surely some were thinking that itchy hands make all the money gone but I tell you no.I asked my parents to hide my bank card so that i can't access it to withdraw any money at all.

I have been dealing with so many financial problems right now so I am trying to trim down my expenses and save for future purposes and purchase. Saving is really important. It helps us prepare for our tomorrow as well as that of our family. I really hope I can stick to my saving plans and be able to save as mmuch as I could.

I remember when i was a student, i really saved a lot of money that time. And my ways of saving money was not putting it in a piggy bank or real bank or budgeting my daily needs, etc. What i did was, I just give some to my mother for her to keep it until i need it and my other way to save it was i cram some of it in my bag, wallet, cabinet or anywhere where i will forget that i put it there but ofcourse place where it's safe to keep then there will be a time that i will just remember or happen to see it. Heheh! =D

Eating out excessively is the worst thing anyone can do. If you eat out a lot I recommend you do this. Check your bank account online (if you can) and add up all the amounts for restaurants and fast food places. You might be surprised. One month I was astonished we had spent over $500 eating out. That is 20 tanks of gas for me. I was shocked! Another recommendation...never buy toiletries in the grocery store (unless they are on sale and you have coupons). I will go to Walmart or Target and find the same item for a lot less. So get to know the stores you shop and the prices on items you buy often. Plus try to buy generic brands on certain things.

Yes it's true. I myself loves to save money but sometimes when I go to the mall alone I end up spending more than half of my money inside my wallet that time.. That is why I seldom go to the mall alone. And I agree with one of the commentator here, you should open an account for your son so that he'll be able to use it when he is on the right age. Also, give him a money on hand while he is young so that he will learn to budget and save money for himself.

I used to save money in a separate pocket and deposit it in the bank when it is already at least 4 digits.

yeah, it is true. whenever we can, we should save money. with the recession reeling on us, we should set aside some money to cushion the impact of any financial crisis or sudden loss of income. there are many ways on how to save money. but it requires a steady flow of income. without income, there is nothing to save in the first place. i have a bank account that i try to put on new money every month, no matter how little it is. i like it and i feel good everytime i go to the bank and deposit.
