Do barking dogs bother you ?

It usually doesn't bother me, but sometimes when my dog keeps barking for awhile and just won't stop it will annoy me and i'll try to get him to be quiet

I am surrounded by barking dogs in my neighborhood. I (usually) love dogs, but I don't like when people allow their dogs to bark constantly. When I come home the three dogs in the house across the street will bark. It does not matter whether they are in or outside the house. But of course when they start the one next door starts and the 3 in the next house start. Then the ones at the groomer's house behind the first house starts. But it doesn't stop there, the ones on the other side of me start and I am not sure exactly how many there are over there. Well needless to say it sounds like a whole choir. It wouldn't really be that bad but this goes on all day and into the night. And in the summer when the windows are open it gets really crazy. I understand that a dog barks to protect their property but I never hear any of the owners trying to quiet the barking after it has gone on for long periods of time. When I had my beloved Spanky (I had to put him down two years ago, and we were together for 14 years.) he would bark once or twice to come in, he always barked at the pizza guy but not much else unless it was necessary. So I know that dogs don't really have to bark forever if they are trained properly. Sorry I guess I got on my soapbox but it is very frustrating to listen to nonstop barking dogs.

yes,barking dogs bother me a lot.When dogs bark or howl in my neighbourhood it irritates me a lot.When dogs bark loudly,i am not even able to converse in a phone.I feel barking dogs are sound polluters in the day time.

i think a dog barking cannot be helped if e.g. they are barking at a bird, but it dosen't bother me during the day, i think its more annoying being woken up to dogs barking, there is a neighbour across the wrong and the council have been involved because there are so many complaints about their dogs but its the owners fault because they let them out at night or very early in the morning and shut the door so the dogs are barking because they want back in the house

They don't really bother me, heh :D I'm quite a heavy sleeper... And I can sleep soundly even though the dogs are barking. My sister is the total opposite. She can't stand the dogs barking sometimes..

It doesn't matter what neighborhood you are in, people r people. Some dogs just bark ex. hounds as soon as they smell an item to hunt they are off to the barking god in the sky, they just can't help themselves.. Other dogs bark because they r bored and in need of some tlc of anykind ex, stuck in a pen all day with no one to get attension from, some dogs are not trained properly, some Dogs just bark.. People just being people in general just love to complain, just give them a reason they will complain about it. If a dog barks to defend a home , their mama, the kids, etc. just normal barking, if it isn't excessive.. it's a DOG, THEY BARK, CATS MEOW, BIRDS CHIRP. I could go on forever, but, I won't... REMEMBER, ALWAYS LUV YOUR DOG/ PET, THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U..

Dog barking in town bothers me both day and night. It's fine if a dog barks once or twice in reply to hearing another dog or asking their master to bring them in but when it's just continuous I get really annoyed. Most of the time it's people that leave their dogs out all day, rain or shine.

i love dogs but if it disturbs my sleeping habits, barking all day long, and if its not my dog i will be bothered so much =)
