how do you deal with it? Like I do not believe in meds but I was curious if there is some type of diet I could do to help alieveate the symptoms of it. I have never really been diganosed but I know I have it because I feel like I do not want to do anything at all. So what do you do with it? Thanks for any resposnes and happy mylotting as well.

momtryingtomakeit . .
best thing you can do for depression is to remember first and foremost all the things YOU DO have to be thankful for . . . you must count your blessings and never forget that things could be worse in the blink of an eye.........
and after you do that . .
think happy . .think positive .. .think love
and when you want to cry . .do it .. get it out. . do it into your pillow. . do it in the shower. . . just try not to do it in front of the kids.....and if necessary and you got your good cry out .. . put some ice cubes wrapped in a paper towel to relieve the swelling
I know this sounds easy . .it isnt. .. but just remember if you didnt have bills to pay or and endless amount of cleaning up . . you wouldnt have a house to sleep in . .or food to eat . . . I think you get my picture here . .
remember there is always help out there .. take the depressed energy and fuel it into finding someone to talk to .. hey .. Im always here if you need an ear
and what I always say when things are at its worst for me ..
whatever doesnt kill you . .makes you stronger

I've heard a lot of different ways to help alleviate depression. From Tension Relief lotions to hot teas, to hot baths. I think that all of those can help alleviate some of the tension and stress that goes along with depression. Some people say a good night's sleep can really help, so I'd say drink some herbal tea to relax you, Sleepy Time Tea, I think is a trademark brand. Tension Relief lotion is great, I have some that has peppermint, chamomile and lavender in it, I got it from Wal*Mart. Don't use it too often though, it dries out your skin, atleast it had mine. I hope these ways of alleviating stress, and tension help. I'm sorry you're feeling down, but I know the feeling.
Have a wonderful day.

It's quiet around here. When I think to take a bath instead of a shower, I usually wait, and then end up not having any quiet to take a bath in. Lol, Don't have small ones yet though so that's not the ones who bother me.

i am too dealing with depressions. though i am not successful to over come it yet. cause the problem is an ongoing one and i see no way to solve the problem except to accept my problem. anyways, i am still trying to change my destiny but every thing seems to go against. i don't know what to do any more. but i try to just past time here online and try to enjoy myself posting while getting paid. it surely help me deal with my depression momentarily. money makes me feel happy. wish that i will have more ways to earn if this will solve my depression though money is not really the reason of my depression but it surely make life more bearable when i have more money . but of course i wish to have the solution to my problem than just remedying it with money or some money making sites.

The first thing is you have to seek a psychiatrist. or try counseling. i Don't not believe in dealing depression with diet. if you dont feel like doing anything means that you are depressed. first find out what causes depression, and get a medical help. tell the counselor or psychiatrist how often you have this empty mood. and what triggers your mood. etc. they are the best person to help you. i don't know about diets. Don't skip your food and don't over eat. if you take medicines it might increase your appetite and you would crave for food. i m not the best person to advise you on this. hope you start to get counseling at the earliest. good luck.

Try pursuing some of your interest - like if you like to draw take up a drawing class or start painting your thoughts whenever you feel depressed. Many cook, dance, water plants, etc., etc. Gardening is a wonderful stress reliever and is a positive a productive work too.
Do you have a pet. According to researches if you have a pet and watch it play around then you can easily get rid of boredom as well as depression.
Enroll yourself into some of the natural healing therapies like reiki, pranic healing, zen meditation, yoga, etc.
However, you will have to consult a doctor about your condition. You can even tell him/her that you are not interested in taking too many medicines and would opt for natural treatments.

You try to find something that you'll like and do it. You will have to force yourself at first to just get up get out and do something. Once you get motivated you will he happier. Do something for yourself once in awhile. Being a mom I know how it is. Everything I ever did was for the family, never anything for me.
After years of this I just got burned out. But I felt guilty if I spent any money on anything for me. That feeling you must get over.
You need to be happy for the rest of the family to be happy. So find something to do and do something for yourself. The something that you do, needs to be on your own no family from home involved. It has to be for you. You need time to yourself, if it's nothing but and hour a day or half a day a week, anything that you can look forward to the rest of the time.

I have tried to take meds for it in the past but the meds did nothing for me. I just deal with it on my own on a daily basis if it bothers me. I used to stay depressed all of the time but my life has changed a little bit now. I deal with it ever so often now.

Many things contribute to depression including nutrition and fatigue. Try having something with potassium such as orange juice or bananas and see if it helps. There are herbs that are useful if the depression is caused by other means such as St. John's Wort but the best cure for depression is understanding it's cause. Awareness is your best tool because once you know what gets you there you can do what you can to fix the situation.

I have been suffering from depression atleast 2 years from now.And i guess i have gone much depth into it, neither i have been diagnosed ever, as i think my depression wont go by getting some medicines or treatments or anything. Our depression has the cause of our thoughts that goes within us, the thoughts which trouble us every time and fears us.We need to live our life as it comes depressed people mostly think too deeply and the main reason is they think too much.which harms them a lot.Same thing is in me which has made me undergo heavy depression overcoming it i really dont know medical things but i do yoga to calm down my senses as well as i be with too many people to cheer myself up and forget the burden. But trust me, better get cured faster or you will suffer heavily, i can see it on myself now.

I've had depression for 10+ yrs,i've tried councelling, phyciatric nurse and meds, the first 2 didn't work, they were useless, they both said that they'd tried everything and they didn't know what else to do so they discharged me,some people get on well with councelling, others don't.For me meds are the only thing that helps. If they know what started your depression then councellers could probably by helping you deal with whatever set it off, where as no-one knows what started mine,so they can't fix it.Talk to your GP and see what they have to say

life is not easy for any of us, sometimes ,we may met something depressed, it is normal , we should have enough mental preperation, and make efforts to deal with it. Usually, i like to talking about it with my close friends,or my boyfriends.
they will comfort me with relax houmors, and ask me go out to take some interesting activities. it would be useful . sometime i will go shopping or stay at home to enjoy classic music . After forgetting those stuff , a new start must be here.

i have also dealed with deep depression in my life but am much better now. try not to think about your problems much by doing things that interest you ( like mylotting!!) and things that make you happy like watching movies or hanging out with friends. Not eating will only make you more tired and less active. fruits and veggies give you lots of extra energy for exercise and make you feel good as well :) best of luck! and remember that people do care about you and most likely hate to see you in a depressed state :( so do it for yourself and for the people who love you and you'll be just fine :)
