we all know facebook is the number 1 website all over the world.and its obvious it generates lots of revenue each day!so what is the harm if the revenue is shared with the users.if thats done then it will become more and more popular and people will be more and more active.and hence more and more spomsers and more revenue.so what you say?

I don't think they should. I don't think they should follow the paying social network bandwagon. That would be the reason for their downlfall because that would create a lot of spammers, trolls and so on. People are enjoying Facebook even if they're not paid so i guess there's really no need to share their revenue with members. It's the only social network i know which is serving it's purpose.

I have a facebook but as far as i'm concerned mylot my fave. I don't imagine any one person would get much if facebook decided to do this which i don't think they will. I REALLY DON'T BLAME THEM. It is the way they make their living & i'm sure they have a bunch of employees that make their living there to.

HA HA HA HA! I love it when people buy into the hype, and just spout whatever they want! Facebook has YET to make it to the top! It has yet to be number 1! At one time, back in 2005, Myspace actually was #1! Here's who's #1 right now:

Now, to your question: I'm sure you, and everyone who uses that wished it'd happen. I know I do! But why? Will Bill Gates share the fortune he's made, because we use his stuff? Steve Jobs? Ted Turner? Hulk Hogan? Just ain't gonna happen!

Yes, I think that would be good. In fact, it would be nice if all of the sites that earn dividends would share the money with its members because after all we are the ones that make the site popular and successful.
Just for the participation in them daily and referring others to the sites, of course they make money from us all.

lol =D WHo will wanna share their revenue when they are profiting alone?? Even for u or maybe majority of us, if we are earning alot, will we wanna share our profits with others?? I dun think so right?? lol =D
Furthermore, all members have to trust facebook on the revenues they shared out.. IF not, everything is gonna be messed up once one suspect facebook is eating up on their shared revenue.. haha =D
IN the end, i guess there will be more problems rather than money.. hehe ^_^

A good question. As some pointed out it may attract spammers and trolls, however I think the spammers are already there to some extent. Trolls too come and it is inevitable they will eventually be there as well pay or no pay. I think Facebook should possibly share the revenue in some areas maybe games but not with posts or applications like butterflies or angels. Maybe for your photos posted or things like poems, and stories pay but the poster retains the copyrights of their original work. I am on Gather, Xomba, Triond, Mylot and Myspace and Yuwie. I know 5 of those pay not sure if Myspace does or not. I know on the games I don't like the things you have to do to get more credits it is inviting a LOT of spam and I hate that. I am considering complaining to the AG about those because they give you all these hurdles to jump though with do you like McDonald's or Burger king, Do you want a Medical degree, Do you want to buy DVD or music from Columbia house. Check yes or no. Do you want to join Myopinions, or NPD or survey spot when I am already on those. Then supposedly you get credits or a laptop or a gifdt card to Target or Home Depot. BULL these are scams and need to be stopped. I don't think FACEBOOK should allow those type things because it is false and you don't get squat from doing those endless question trying to get youto commit to buying something so these sites can send you endless spam mail and spyware they all want your email and contact info and they all want to sell junk you don't want and most sell your info for profit so your hit with single sites when your married, and grow some appendage larger garbage etc. So there are up and downsides with all social networks. Face book includeded

No, I don't think that Facebook should, or indeed needs to share its revenue with us users. Just because other sites such as myLot do, that's no reason why all the other social network sites need to join in. It doesn't need a gimmick like that to get millions of users, and it's wasn't set up as a money-making site, unlike myLot and others.
Most people are happy to just use it as a way of keeping in touch with friends and relatives. We don't need the monetary incentive, (and can't really expect to be compensated for merely keeping in touch with people!)

I think it would be an awesome idea! Paid doesn't need to be whole heck of a lot, it pays depends on how much we participat and post, something like that just like mylot. I think if they became a paid site, it would become even more popular and they can earn more! So why not? ;-)

i think if they will pay the members, they will get a lot of people making duplicate entries or any fraud ideas. Much better if they will remain popular like that without paying any members.
Maybe they can just give rewards to the members by improving service.
happy mylotting and smile always!

Turning facebook into something like Yuwie? It has it's good and bads. For instance, they'll see a huge amount of increase in users --- most of them probably will be fake. This could lead to the end of facebook.
The old saying goes "don't mess with a good thing." That's exactly this case. People are using facebook right now without a pay and it's very very popular. Why would you mess with this? Sure it'll have some pros, but I can see much more bad results than good.

That would be great idea. But I think it would soon have problems in the end. Many people will take advantage of the situation and this will eventually creat problems with the site. I guess its better that way. What is the need when as you ahve said they are already popular.

that would be so cool!i will earn a million then(taking into accout my usage of facebook)i think it would be a really good move..users would obviously love it too..and just like sharing revenue..they should also have penalty measures like keeping users liable to pay a charge if they donot follow the rules..so yes with a strong anti spamming and anti virus system, such a move would really work wonders!:)

Yes that would be a good move. Then people like me, who have either not joined yet or are not active, would also be tempted to join and remain active.

I think it would be great for Facebook to share it's revenues with those that make that revenue possible.
