In my everyday working at the office sometimes i feel really sleepy especially at when the time is 10:00am to 3:00pm. Sometime i will go on on room and sleep there for a half an hour. I am finding it hard for me to escape the sleepy time because sometime in that time my work is already completed and i cannot do anything and i am bored surfing the net.
How about you. how can you handle this sleepy times?

Hi, agree with you, even I feel sleepy in the noon time, but what I usually do, just take a walk for 5-10 minutes, or chat with the colluges in the office and get back to work. Have a tea or coffee and get relaxed. Sometimes I put my head down on the desk and take a quick nap, for few minutes and then back to work. You can involve yourself in some difficult task or some issue which will definately take your sleep away. Or else just walk around for some time and then get back to work.

Doesn't matter who is looking at you and what you are doing, unleass you are doing your work perfectly, no one will question you, basically I do the same way, no one asks me what and why I am doing. The result speaks for itself. Anyways if you are talking the walk, the reason is you want to concentrate on the work properly. So don't worry take a walk for 5-10 minutes whenever you feel sleepy.

Sometimes I do feel sleepy at work also, especially after lunch time about 3pm. I always felt sleppy after I have a considerably heavy lunch. Usually what I do is I will go and wash my face to keep myself alert, then take a cup of coffee. That would be suffice to keep me awake until after office hour.

I can relate to this... I was SO sleepy at work today I just wanted to take a nap.
Sometimes it's not easy to be awake and aware while at work, especially if it's a boring job or you're not feeling up to par.
Today I just tried to make it through and kept drinking cold water to try to help me stay alert.

Yes dont know why it happens in noon time.... I cannot do the splashing of water in my face because it can damage my face because im a secretary and my work is infront of a computer so that i cannot wet my face in order not to damage my self. anyway, Thank for your response.

Sometimes I just get up from my desk and walk around and stretch. I have will even walk outside if the weather is nice on lunch or my break and it helps wake me up.
Sometimes I have resorted to caffeine. I don't drink it normally but will drink some decaf coffee and add just a little caffeine to it. For me a little goes a long way.

its easy just drink / eat anything that has caffiene. theyre not even that bad like you can even drink coke or something fizzy to make you shake. you can also try pouring cold water on your head or pputting an ice block / pack on skin or on your back, that will wake you up for suree ! well thats all ran out of ideas

Normally, when I feel sleepy I will chat with my colleagues and have a good laugh. Laughing really makes me awake besides coffee.
