Anyone here have or had pet rats?

We had some pets rats years ago. We bought them from this man that raised them in his home. They were clean, healthy and loved people. We had bought a huge cage with different levels and things to climb on. They loved their new home. They were very friendly rats. Sadly we had to give them up because my husbands asthma started acting up. We found a good home for them with a woman that was a big animal lover. She took good care of them adn sent us some pictures of them. They seemed very happy. Anyone else here?

I have two, and I've had many over the years. they're lovely pets. really affectionate, attentive, funny, intelligent, and all round lovely to be around. very few caged pets interact with you in quite the same way as rats do.

Nice to meet someone that loves rats! Yes our rates were very friendly. We would show them to people that came over and mots of them wer afraid of them. I admit I was at first but I got over it quickly.

Yes! I used to have a pet rat "Crash". I was able to let them run around the floor because they would almost never hide. They also never really bite you unless you scare them (they can bite very very hard).

No i do not have pet rats I only have a female frech poodle we use to have two female french poodles and one male french poodle but my mother sold two and gave one to a lady who let us borrow the male french poodle who left my female french poodle pregnet.

I have two rats right now. They are mother and daughter and are about the cutest things ever. They love to snuggle and just are so affectionate. Most people think rats are gross but it totally changes your prospective when you have them as you pets.
