Hey, do you guys have a nightmare after watching a horror flick? How is it like? Are there the same characters from the movie or is it just your imaginary characters? Is your nightmare the reason you are scared to watch horror movies?

I have had two nightmares in my entire life from watching movies.
When I was little I watched Amityville Horror on television. That night I had a dream I was walking down the stairs and blood starting to come out of the walls. So I ran back to my bedroom and the same thing happened to the walls in there.
I also had a nightmare about the original War of the Worlds movie. I dreamed my oscillating fan was like on of this light scopes that went in search of life. If the light scope found someone they would be incinerated. Aftr having that dream I was afraid to look at the fan and would hide my head under the covers when it "looked" my direction.
Because I have seen so many horror movies since, I no longer get scared or have nightmares.

That's really cool. Well I had a nightmare when I watched a horror serial 'Aahat' I was carried away by a ghost and I shouted for help from my family but it turned out that all of them had turned into GHOSTS. That was really scary because it felt like all my loved ones were running after me to kill me. And then I literaly got up screaming and crying and then my mom tranquilized me.
Well now I am over the nightmares post watching movies or reading books.

Thanx for welcoming me to myLot.
I guess you should continue reading and watching horror movies, well I don't say watch manyyyyyyyy at one go but watch them from time to time it will help you get over your fear of horror movies. I mean you can't be scared all your life from such movies.

I used to have the same problem but i have found a solution. I noticed I got really jumpy if i kept thinking about it but if I start thinking about something else, something beautiful it gets really easy for me to forget all the terror and horror and get a nice and sound sleep. :)
