How many hours sleep is enough for you?

I just had a discussion with my friends, and I realized that different people need different hour of sleep in order to keep him/her to be awake the next day. For me, I will need 6-7 hours sleep to keep me fresh. I will feel very tired if I sleep less than that. Also, if I have only 2 or 3 hours to sleep, I would rather not sleep cause that would make me even more tired. However, for my friend, she only need to sleep 2-3 hours. According to her, if she sleeps too much, then the next day she will feel very sleepy. What about you? Please share your opinion if you don't mind. Thanks and happy MyLotting to everyone.

This is a really good discussion because sleep is very important when it comes to living and having energy, and I have always heard doctors say you need at least eight hours of sleep, but I think how much sleep is needed depends on each person and how active they are, some people might need eight hours, while others might need just three hours, and I can understand how everyone is different,I think that the amount of sleep varies depending on each persons lifestyle and activities, and when it comes to me and my fiance we usually vary on how much we sleep some nights we will get eight hours, some nights we will get five hours, some nights we might only get three hours because we could not sleep, but it never seems to hurt us,it only makes us get tired sooner if we sleep less, and we normally go to bed about midnight and she gets up at like nine a.m.,and I fall asleep about two a.m. and usually get up anywhere from ten thirty a.m. to eleven thirty a.m. just depending on how good I sleep and what all we have to do that day, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

You are right. Different people will have different hour of sleep and I do heard somebody saying that 8 hours sleep is a must in order to keep us healthy. But I also heard some experts saying that as we aged, the minimum number of sleeping will be lesser. Not sure how true is it.

I am glad that you agree with me and yeah different people will have different hours of sleep, and I think I might have heard as we age the amount of sleep we need or will get lessens but I am not sure if it is true, even though it does seem that people who are older have trouble sleeping so maybe it is true, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

For me normally I spend 5-6 hours sleeping at night and other more than 1 hour during the day.I take a nap for compensation when feeling night sleep insufficient.I know to keep 8 hours of sleep is good for health but really hard to insist.

As I am working, I do not have to time to take a nap in the afternoon. So I must always make sure that I will have enough sleep in the night.

I need minimum 7 hours of sleep every night in order to avoid having nap in the day, any thing less than that, i will feel sleepy during the day and can not concentrate fully in work .

it all depends on what I have done during the day.sometimes 7 hours is enough then other times 11 hours when I get really tired.only needing 2 or 3 hours a night is madness it will catch up with her she must walk around like a zombie.Your body needs at least 7 to 8 hours a night to repair and freshen up brain cells.Give your heart a rest and all your nerves, muscles must be rested or they will give out.Making you very ill.

Hi, Sleeping is really important. Many don't care about it but for healthy life sleep is absolutely necessary. For me 5-6 hours is must otherwise you will see me feeling during my lectures hehe. But even if i sleep more then that then also i start feeling sleepy. I don't know how she manages with only 2-3 hours. Maybe she might be sleeping during the day. Happy Mylotting. Keep earning.

Ya, I do agree with you. Sometimes when I sleep too much also I tend to be a bit tired. For her, she already get used to it as she already had this habit during university where she prefer to study in midnight, but I know this is not good for health. Will advice her to change the habit slowly.

I usually get about 6 hrs of sleep a night....most nights that is enough but there are those days that I need more....I sleep later on the weekends so I guess getting less sleep during the week averages it out??.,....I dunno.....

I think for me 7 hours will be ideal one. And for weekend I also sleep late, but I also wake up late. So no matter how I will still make sure I have 6-7 hours sleep.
