I just want to hear your opinion about this. But for me, I'm not agree. Because I know it's not good and it's also a sin. As you can see, there are so many gays and lesbians nowadays. So I want to hear your words. Happy mylotting!

I grew up in an environment where gays and lesbians are a big NO-NO. Grown ups say that it's wrong and that it's a sin and that I shouldn't be friends with them because they're not good people. As I grew older and as I met more gays and more lesbians. I started really thinking about it and even reading about their nature. As far as I know, it really isn't a personal decision for them to become gays or lesbians. They have no control over what gender preference they have. If these people aren't being gays and lesbians on their own decision, then how can they be considered sinners for being such? Aborted babies didn't choose to be aborted, do you also believe the old belief that they are sinners? I hope that we learn more about ourselves as human beings so that we would be able to understand each other better. Thanks for the response on my discussion :)

I would like to know what study you read for that information. You may not have a link for it but if you can remember any specific details about that study (what school published it perhaps) then I would be very much interested to read more about it. As far as I've read -- and I've read a lot from the Vatican's position on Gay Marriage and on psychological studies, there's nothing that says that ALL gays are formed from their environment. Of course a person's environment will have an effect on his/her life but what about those that lived a "normal straight" life but still ended up gay and even they don't understand it?

Base on study, being like them is a development or a process, because of the environment, but they can choose the right path instead of being like that. There's no in born gayss or lesbie...

I think there is more than enough haatred and little enough love in this world so everyone should be free to find love wherever they can. As long as no-one is forcing their attentions where they're not wanted I dont think it has anything to do with anyone else.

People are people and if two people are in love it is the best feeling in the world so why should two humans not be allowed to have those feelings? As for the sin part I guess you are refering to the archaic way that religion looks at life. Lose the religion and the world would be a much better place.

How come you know it's not good and it's a sin, when it's only your opinion? Sorry for being harsh but I just can't believe how people talk about fellow humans ( yes humans, for fluffs sake) as though they don't deserve to live... :S I am proud to live in a country where gays can make career without getting humiliated, attacked or even killed every day. Loads of gays have jobs on the television and nearly nobody considers that a problem. There are also people who say they are afraid to be unwillingly touched by gays... but don't do straight people do that too? Yes, they do. So I don't see the problem.

Well that's yours not mine, I'm living in a christian country so i really don't agree. I know there's a verse in the bible about that. But I can't recall. Thank you for your opinion.

Myx in your country you don´t agree? So what do you do with gay people? Ignore them? Treat them as less human? Treat them as less christian? Treat them as less worthy of a good life? Treat them as abnormal people? The bible says it´s wrong? How about respecting others people love for each other? How about respecting that only thing that could make our world change for better...how about respecting love, care, and humanity instead of making a manuscript a source of hatrede, separation and discrimination? Peace

i am not bothered by people having same gender relationships. they didn't ask to be born different from everyone else, that is just how God made them. so if God made you that way, does that make you less deserving of having a happy relationship with someone you are attracted to? if these people had to marry someone of a different gender just to make everyone else happy, wouldn't that be unfair to their spouse, to be with someone who may love them but is not fully attracted to them? i have always wanted to be a wife and a mother, and thankfully i am straight so it was easy for me to achieve those goals. unfortunately, it's not so easy for people who are attracted to their own gender to achieve these same dreams. who are we to say that they don't deserve something (a relationship or marriage and having a family) that everyone else can get so easily?

umm...excuse me myx but you are the one who introduced religion into this discussion when you said being gay is a sin or whatever you said in the original post... i'm too lazy to go back and find it as i'm typing it right this second. anyway, what is it that is deviant? that act that you're thinking of right now in your head? eww, you're such a deviant for thinking those disgusting thoughts! gross.

Yes,I believe people have their own right to choose the way they really want to live in. You could disagree with someone's opinion, but please respect his/her choice for this is the most proper in his/her heart.

you are entitled to your opinion myx. There have ALWAYS been so many gay people. You just notice them more because they are sick of hiding out in closets so that they won't be ridiculed and put down for being who they are. They are speaking out finally for the rights that they have been denied all these years. They have just as much right to a loving and happy relationship as you and I have. They should not have to hide that relationship because some people feel it will harm their children to see 2 women or 2 men holding hands in public. The real problem of this issue lies in the hearts of the people that are so very bothered by it.

I think it is really a great sin. It looks really weird when I saw someone in relationship with same gender. I think there should be some restrictions at least government should impose some laws to reduce it rather than promoting it. Thanks god it is very less in my country at least in front of my eyes as strictly restricted but we can't stop people emitting others and doing it by hiding.

No I will not , time will come that everyone will bored of it . Its not easy to bear with it. There's a real situation happened that lesbians and gay got married to each other in my place its because of the sad moments they have experienced as sam gender. They are friends the they are the one that understand each other and they got a baby with it. After all the urt aches they have they landed to formally married as different gender. Thats a nice lesson to other one.

A sin? I believe that religion narrows minds too many people. I believe in Love. I believe that if there were less hatrede, we would all be much more happy... Religious arguments? Sorry, doesn´t make sense too me, maybe because i´m agnostic or maybe because religion has proven to be wrong many times in history...too much blood has beem shed in the name of religious beliefs, that´s the real sin, not the genuine love between human beings... Hi myx_03, Even though it is a sin in God's eyes, we are to love everyone as we love ourselves. We all sin in one way or another, only Jesus is perfect. I'm a Christian, and I'm definitely not perfect. Gays and lesbians share this earth with us, and God will judge, as you know, He will judge us all one day. Thanks for listening.

Hey Skills, From what I've read, God says that "If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination..." (Leviticus 20:13). I just now read in a reference book by J. Vernon McGee, that it is considered Adultery in God's view, and detestable. McGee goes on to say that, "In spite of the awful immorality of these sins and the severity of the punishment, the Savior stands ready to forgive any who will come to Him." I'm not a lesbiean, so I can't even imagine the hold this lifestyle can have on a person. Personally, I think that if a person is struggling with being gaay or lesbiean, and is trying to escape it, God takes that into account. The main thing is to accept Jesus as Savior, regardless of lifestyle. We don't have to clean up our act before we go to Him. Thank you for asking. I had to look this stuff up, cause I'm not too familiar with it.

for me it's okay! boy to boy and girl to girl, provided that they will not cause a bad influence to others, they will live on their lives peacefully, they can be happy and live free! the sin if it is a sin to involved in this kind of relation, depends on them, they will suffer if it has punishment, but that's what they could get! Let them be free as what are we! thank you so much! an enjoy here in mylot!

Hi, myx. I hold a totally different view. I don't think gay or lesbian relationship is a sin. We were all born equal, and have every right to choose our orientation. No law ever laid down the rule that the same gender relationship is not accepted. In my country where tradition prevails, gays and lesbians are accepted by most people though there are still a few of them who prefer to oppose. In October last year, two pairs of gay and lesbian lovers got married. Their friends, relatives all came to congratulate. Though I was not there, I could see on TV no discrimination or prejudice from people around. I believe in love and firmly believe that love conquers all. As long as they love each other, that's OK. The best we can do is to wish them happy forever.

I am very interested in knowing why you think it is not good. And also why it is a sin. Can you explain to mt what a sin is? Do you think it is a sin not to respect other people just because they are diferent than you? For example: where do you live? Would you like someone to say your culture or religion is sinful? I am very interested in this subject. I am an heterosexual 64 year old lady that believes that one of the worst sins is not to respect the rest of the people. It´s the worst kind of pride and arrogance. Take care

There are so many gaay and leesbian here in my country and they are not different, they are human too,. I respect what they are thinking about relationship, Im just sharing my thoughts,. They asked why is it become a sin, so i answered them, it's said to the bible scriptures. And it's not bad knowing the truth. Im only human and only God can judge us. Thanks for the sharing.

I think any people whatever their preferences maybe can be loved, and can choose whomever they love. I just don't think it's right that you say that it's a sin. I think it is not a choice for them, that they are born like that. I know the bible says something about it, but if you were born the way they are, what can you do?.. Let's not judge them based on what their preferences maybe.

Well it depends on our society's view. We are binded by the doctrines and teaching of our religion and other entities like politics and mass media but still being prevailed by open mindness and acceptance. For me i still believe that Eve was created for Adam's loneliness in this world.
