Do you love or hate Michael Jackson?

I was watching a morning show and I barely caught the news - Michael Jackson is gone. He died of cardiac arrest in a Los Angeles hospital, he's 50. I don't know why I'm affected because I'm not a big fan. But the news affected me somehow.
Okay, like him or not, he is an icon and his contribution to the music industry is unparalleled. As I've said I'm not a big fan but I recognize the fact that he is one of the biggest names in the industry. In the last decade he's been to scandals left and right and that contributed to his rapid decline. But then again, Michael Jackson is MICHAEL JACKSON.
Do you love Michael Jackson? Do you hate him? Why? What are the things that would make you remember him most?

I am a fan of his music. growing up i was given the tape cassette of bad and i listened to that tape ao much i wore the tape out lol.

yeah, right. unless you are from europe, or asia, and haven't really heard the full truth about how weird he actually is, then i don't believe most people who come on here saying that they love him, miss him, pop idle, and all that croopola. the same people who was bashing him, when he was alive, all in a sudden love him, has his music save. whatever. bull.

He is such an excellent artist, that is a fact. About the scandals, maybe they're true, maybe not. Now that he's gone we will never really know what happened there. Everything will remain a mystery now.
I'd give him credit for what he's done to the music industry, my personal opinion about his misdoings notwithstanding.

of course i love michael jackson. he's song will always remain in my heart. i really love his songs and will sing favorite MJ's songs forever... you are not alone, heal the world, smooth criminal, billy jean, beat it, etc...
wherever you are MJ, my prayers be with you! you are really an ICON!

I may not share your love for MJ but I surely know his place in the history of music. He is an icon to most people and will forever be remembered with fondness. I wonder if there will ever be like him in the future? Thanks for dropping by.

Hello friend,
I am an Indian and I am not too much into foreign rock stars. hence, I do not feel the same attachment to him as many of the others do. I remember the stage of my growing up when I heard a lot about him time to time. He must be special otherwise people won't mention his name repeatedly all the time.

Hi jshekhar,Michael Jackson is very popular and he's considered an icon in the music industry. If you read the news his name is all over as yesterday a memorial was held at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA to honor him. You should at least try to catch up with whatever is left about him, it's your last chance LOL.

Michael Jackson is the real king of pop for me.., he began his carrier since he still very young and i love his music through Jackson five "Ben", it's really a nice song, when he was older, his song is really i like, although i'm not big fan of his personality, but his song really good.., happy myloting...

Well you must be one of those who are genuinely mourning for MJ. My husband is a big, big fan in fact he has a collection of all his albums. I've already kept this collection somewhere else, I don't even remember where I've placed them. Now my husband wants me to find them coz he wants to play them over and over again. Good thing he can download those songs from the internet, just in case.
I have respect for the guy (MJ) though.
