Do you have a credit card? How often do you use it? Who pays for the bill? Are you thankful owning a credit card or you regret having it?
In my case, sometimes i regretted having a credit card because i am an impulse buyer. i hate it when the bill arrives...i should be more responsible in buying already.
What about you?

I have two credit cards. It was offered to me by credit card agents. Well, I use the card from time to time. I do shopping but I always control myself and buy only those that I need. I know that if you use the card correctly, you will really find it useful.

Its good that you resist the temptation of having a credit card...If you know that you already have control on buying, then thats the time that you can decide to have your own credit card.thanks for your response.

I do own several credit cards and I am proud of owning them. I am always very cautious of using them as I make sure that I settle my payments on time or the most within 2 months. Once you go on credit with the bank, it will take you your whole life paying it back .... so, it's better to always be cautious on how you spend using your credit card.

Know I don't own a credit card. My husband did before I married him now he is in debt. I have never owned one because I thought they were more trouble then what they were worth. And sometimes they can help you build up your credit if you watch what you are doing.

your right credit cards are trouble if the bill can't be paid. And if you like to shop a lot it is not good at all. That means your spending more then what you can handle on your credit card bill. Now I think its kind of nice to have one for emergency uses like if you get stuck somewhere or broke down in your car.

Thanks for responding...Uncontrolled spending will really give you a lot of trouble especially if you reach the point where you are unable to pay your monthly bill in whole--you need to pay for additional interests on the next pay date. Thanks for your response.

Nope, I don't have one. Well, I used to have one, but I find it useless, for I really don't want to have credits. I normally pay in full.

Yes, I have one credit card and two debit cards. My wife takes care of the check book and card payments. We only carry the credit card for emergencies and never owe over 100 or so dollars, which we pay off without paying interest. I had a problem with one of my debit cards not long ago. Somehow somebody managed to drain over 200 dollars from my account, I canceled that card and the bank issued me another one. The bank made good on the illegal withdrawals and I only carry about 300 dollars in that debit account. One of my debit cards is a PayPal business debit card. I only use it to make purchases on the internet. I have been using PayPal for several years and never had a problem with my account. We pay for most everything with cash or by check.
I worry about my sons and grandsons that they don't get trapped by the card companies and run up a big charge on them.

Its really good to have a control on our spending...If we pay the whole amount every due date, we will not pay any additional charges like interests...Its nice to know that you only have a maximum of 100dollars balance every month. I hope every credit card users are like you. Thanks for your response.

Yes, I do have a credit card of my own. It is very useful considering that I do a lot of purchases online. I conduct training programs on safety. They require certain items such as handbooks, training materials that I need to order online. I used my credit card in purchasing these items. Of course, I also use my credit card on local purchases and in dining out with my family. It is very useful indeed. I guess the only thing that is important is that you should have control in so far as using your card. When you do not control, there is always a tendency that you tend to over charge and you will be tempted to purchase items beyond your financial capability. So credit card should be used carefully.

Thanks for your very useful advice and for sharing your experiences here. Many credit card users only realize that they have over charged over the bill arrives...Though, its good that most of us tend to become responsible after that mistake.

Hello lcdelmendo18 , yes I do have a credit card. I actually have 3 credit cards. I might use one but I pay for my purchases in cash or check or debit. I am the only one that pays for my credit cards whe the bill arrives.I am the type of person who weighs out whether or not I really need something before I buy.

Wow, That's good that you are not tempted by big sales and discounts in malls... You are exactly right, we should weigh first if we really need that product/thing before buying it so that we will not regret it in the end. Thanks for responding!

I unfortunately have one. The bill is due me and as long as no emergencies happen I have been fairly good with it. My impulse purchases are for the most part in check. There are sometimes when you "just have to have it" or "should treat yourself" like what happened with my iPhone. The iPhone was totally worth it however.

I don't have any credit card, even though I have the requirement to apply for that, I don't do that. For me it's okay to use a cash instead of credit card, yes it's good have it because it's more convinient when bring it. But as what they said, you have to be disciplined if you have that. I'm a disciplined person but for me it's ok to pay a cash directly.

My husband and I have a credit card. We try and use it for emergencies only but sometimes we have to use it for other things. We are pretty good about paying it on time. Hopefully that will continue. Economy sucks really bad and it is so hard just to find a weekend job to make things meet.

yes i actually have quite a few credit cards. i use different ones for the promotion offered by the various issuers. i don't regret having a credit card because i watch my spending. if i don't have the money in my bank, i won't spend it. the best part about having a credit card is the cash rebates offered. it's like an additional discount on top of whatever is already offered by the store. overall, i have to say having credit cards helped me save quite a bit of money over the years.

I have no problem having a credit card and in fact, I am quite happy having the credit cards as it brings me quite lot of convenience. I mean since having one, I really don't feel like taking with me lots of cash. Using it to purchase things is so much simpler.
But then, it makes purchasing things easier doesn't mean I take buying things lightly. In fact, I am becoming more careful as I know I have to pay the bills or else I have to pay the interests.

I don't own a credit card. I'm glad in a way because then I won't end up owing as much as other people I know. In other ways, like buying stuff online, I wish that I did. Still, I think I'm better off without the temptation.
