When was the last time you went on a romantic getaway?

I am thinking of kidnapping my boyfriend and going on a romantic getaway LOL. We work hard and deserve to get out and have some fun. As much as it's nice to spend time with family and friends, my gosh, you need that "alone time" where it's just the two of you bonding and enjoying each other. It helps to spice things up between you. When was the last time you went on one of those getaways?

I went to Florida in March. The sunsets, sand, and ocean were pretty romantic. I would love to go to a winery and stay at a bed and breakfast. I think that would be pretty romantic.

I have not yet been to the winery but have always wanted to. If I go, I will let you know how it turns out

The last time we went "away" was our first year anniversary - the last weekend of march. We went to Big Bear Lake (Cali). It was nice - it was the beginning of spring, and the end of winter. So the mountain was just gorgeous. We didn't do a whole lot when we were there - we sure wish we did. But we only had an overnight stay. It was still fun to get away, y'know.
As much as I'd like to plan for our summer get away - I'm kind of broke. This recession is definitely affecting me. He's still working hard, though I don't think he'll be able to finance all of our vacation. It doesn't have to be expensive - I know. But if I'm not planning it - then nothing is gonna come of it.

Oh.. that sounds so great and thank you for sharing. I am in Trinidad and I think we will do something right here on the island or maybe one of the neighbouring islands but Big Bear sounds really nice. I hope you get to do something really nice this year but you are right this recession thing is really hampering us. Who knows, maybe you don't have to plan. something might just come together LOL Good luck and take care.
