For me, popcorn and a good movie just seem to go together. I love to eat mine various ways...sometimes plain or with a bit of salt and a tiny bit of butter, or with a few M&Ms mixed into it. They get melty on the inside from the hot popcorn, yum!
Do you eat popcorn when you watch a movie? What do you like on it or in it?

I miss dousing mine with lots of butter, REAL butter. But I have to be careful of the calories. Next time you have some, put a bit of extra butter on it for me, too, lol. Enjoy! And thank you for sharing your preference.

Hi Karen!
I love eating rather munching Popcorns while watching a movie. Popcorns enhance taste of the movie and I love it with some butter. Otherwise, also I like having popcons, while at home. I take popcorns as evening snacks and I feel it is healthy and nutirious too.

You are right, it has less cholestrol and it is good for digestive system and we can have it any time of the day.
So Karen, when we are going to have Popcorn together?

Hi Dpk...yes, popcorn is always goes well with a movie, and you're right. It is healthy for the digestive system and for the cholesterol numbers, as it has so much fiber. A great snack any time :)

Hello my friend PeacefulWmn9 Ji,
I too love them and for that matter anything else could also replace pop-corn, even ground-nuts (fried) or fried grammes etc. There should be something side by side watching movie. God bless You and have a great time.

I love to eat pop corn while watching a movie, especially in the theatres. I think it is the only nibbling food that never ends even when the movie ends. And i think it is also healthy to have popcorns instead of the oil dripping snacks or food items :)

Hello Divkris...they do go well together, yes? I seldom get to go to the movie theater any more, but the rare times I do, popcorn and a soda just seem to make the entire event even more enjoyable.

Depending on my mood I have tried uncommon toppings like garlic or onion powder. Mrs.Dash is good also. You would be suprised! I guess you could say I am a foodie! A food freak. Like I said before food was the first thing that liked me back.lol that's how food and I became good friends

LOL, hi "foodie." Actually, I think it is a lot of fun to experiment and get creative with food. I've come up with some things that sound odd, but taste great, so keep on experimenting :D

I just love the mix: Popcorn and movies. Somehow I cannot separate the two. I like my popcorn hot, salty, with butter or caramel. I have not tried M&Ms though.

Me too, Tutor. I wonder how and when the habit originated? I love caramel corn with peanuts, and I think you would love the M&Ms in yours if you want to give that a try. : )

Oh you are so right, when I'm in a movie theater, I will get a bag of popcorn and it will disappear so fast because as I'm so into the movie, I'm eating the popcorn without even thinking . At home, I like to make popcorn as well, traditionally I put this margarine, sweet butter, and salted butter combo on it and it tastes really good. My grandma makes some cinnamon popcorn that is really good but she is weird and won't give me the recipe because she thinks I will give it to my mom (her daugher in law, and she doesn't like my mom)

Ohh, so grandma is waging the recipe withholding thing? That is cute, really. I've never tried cinnamon, but I bet with the right mix of sugar, it would be great on popcorn. Your combo also sounds delicious! Thank you for sharing those preferences.

Mmm, sounds great! Most of us seem to have to have something to drink with our popcorn. I can't even watch a movie at home without my popcorn...always feels like something is missing without it. I haven't heard of Taters. We don't have one in our area. Enjoy your movies and popcorn :)

Although I rarely go to the cinema, if I am planning an evening of film in front of the TV I have to have a tub of butterkist Toffee popcorn or a bag of Maltesers. Not overly a fan of salted popcorn as I always find I have to drink a lot of water and then comes the inevitable toilet break, lol.

I seldom go the movie theater any more either, but do enjoy a snack when watching a video at home. Toffee corn is yummy, especially the kind with the peanuts in it. Since I do drink something with it, yes, I must take the inevitable bathroom breaks lol. Thank you for responding.

Ooo, I bet you are referring to "kettle corn." And yes, the mix of salty and sweet is delicious! I have come to enjoy that very much. I get the kind you can make in the microwave..so handy. Thank you for sharing your preferences.

I just love popcorn. I eat it whether watching a movie or not (although, it's still best to have it while watching something). I like bbq, cheese, original and butter flavor. However, my favorite will have to be butter... love it, and just talking about it makes me crave. I better check the kitchen counter if I have one on stock. yum!

Oh yes, I have to have a coke with my popcorn, too. I think I know the powder you mean, and it does add great flavor, plus some color. A relative of mine always puts popcorn salt on hers at home to get that same flavor and color as movie popcorn has. :)

I LOVE popcorn! I find the best type is from your own popcorn kernels. You can buy them in bulk in most places that sell bulk food. They are very cheap. I think this is the best way to make popcorn because you know what you are putting on it. In some of the microwavable popcorn bag they taste great but are full of processed chemicals.
When i make popcorn i tend to put a little olive oil, some salt, and some melted butter.
I can remember movie popcorn toppings that i used to love when i was yonger. i recently went to see a movie and ordered popcorn. i decided to get a topping and discovered how gross they really are. it tasted completely unnatural and i'm never going to get it again.

I love it, too, and it is healthy in its simplest form. Making it from scratch, as you do, is how I used to do it, but for a while now, I've used the Orville Redenbocker microwavable kind. It doesn't have all the additives. Thank you for sharing your popcorn preferences :)

Hm, I think popcorn gets stuck in everyone's teeth, just like corn on the cob does. I always have to floss after eating it, but I love it so much! Chips and fries sound good too, though. Thank you for sharing your preferences.

I love popcorn! I grew up with my grandparents, who are popcorn enthusiasts. They even have a movie-theater-sized popcorn machine in their home. They have "special" bowls dedicated to eating popcorn out of. I guess I kind of got brainwashed into loving popcorn.
My favorite way to eat popcorn is drenched in butter (real butter- margarine makes the popcorn dissolve). Not exactly healthy, but so delicious. I also love my grandpa's caramel corn that he makes during the holidays.
I used to have popcorn parties with my friends when they came to sleep over. We would fill dishes with all kinds of things to dip our popcorn in- peanut butter, jelly, honey, chocolate sauce, cinnamon and sugar, cheese sauce- if it's dippable, we tried it on popcorn! Some flavors were great, and some never saw the light of day again. It's great fun, though.

Oh wow! How great it would be to have a theater sized popcorn machine. My mom used to make it in a big kettle over the stove. There was an art to doing it so that it didn't burn. I think your popcorn parties sound great. But yes, I can see why some of the concoctions never saw the light of day again lol. What great fun though to experiment that way.

Hello Cyber...I think it's interesting some of the things people like on their popcorn, or in it. I have a daughter who likes hers with butter and a bit of chili powder, and another who likes to put butter and parmesan cheese on it. :)

LOL, I'd happily sponsor if I had the extra money. I'm like you, though, just have to have coke with my popcorn! These days, I do skip the extra butter and salt, but I love the way it tastes even without those.

Hello Buitzh, my youngest daughter loves cheese on her popcorn, too, especially parmesan. Or she'll melt cheese onto it, the stringy yummy kind. It is a nice snack with which to experiment. Thank you for sharing your preference.

It helps to chew it slowly as far as noise goes, but I hear you! My parents always told us not to "chonk" or food but to chew it with our mouths closed. And yup, I think popcorn and movies just seem to go together.
