I have reached past my 50th post and I'm excited because I'm heading towards my first star. I've read from one of the posts here that one gets a star once the posts reach 100. There's something that's puzzling me though. I noticed that the stars have different colors. Some members have blue, the others red, yellow, brown, white, even peach. What does the color mean? Does it have anything to do with your rank? Or with the number of posts? Also I see some stars are bigger than the others, and some have a number on the star. Can anyone please enlighten me on this? Would appreciate inputs. Thanks a lot!

Its when people rate your posts or discussions the more people rate them the bigger or higher number/different colour.
Look at the FAQs If you need more information.

Hi Bazerk,
I checked the FAQ but I didn't see any question (and answer) regarding the colors of the stars. I sure would like to know what each color means. I'm thinking they won't be there for no reason at all - the different colors I mean. Thanks for responding anyway. Happy myLotting!

Well, the color/number of the star depends on the rating of the user or 'mylot reputation'
The star is blue with number 10 in it if the rating was 95 above, red (9) if 85-94, yellow (8) if 75-84, and so on. You will see the rating when you point the cursor on the star.

The color of the stars simply signifies your rank .The basic idea behind the rank is to show the quality of responses by the mylot user.If you post a response to a discussion that is marked as the best one your rank simply goes up.The most prestigous is the blue star .I dont know exactly but I guess stars also helps your earning.
