What Other Forum Sites?

Are you guys involved in besides mylot?
It can be anything on any genre at all. For instance, I sometimes frequent movie and TV forum sites and it's quite awesome to be reading others views and opinions on certain movies and basically anything on the particular movie which they have to say.
I'm also pretty active reading and sometimes commenting on Facebook page on Harper's Island. I get to read different comments and brainstorming snippets there.
What say you? Or are you purely here in mylot only? Do share, thanks..

I used to be in other paying forum sites, such as ximmy, moneymakingkingdom as well as sizeofpaper.. BUt now, i have given up on all of them and concentrating in mylot.. haha =D
I find mylot is much more fun and addictive as compared to others.. Though there might be boring times in mylot, but mylot is alot more flexible and not as strict.. IN here, we do get a lot of intereaction thru discussions, which i dun see it happening in other forum sites.. haha =D
Thus, i like mylot best.. hehe ^_^

Well, all those 3 sites are quite some time ago, with moneymakingdom being the only surviving one.. lol =D It pays alot better than mylot with 3cents per post.. However, i find it boring there and i gave up in the end.. haha =D
The same goes for all other sites, and i'm actually surprised when i gotto know about mylot, as it offers a totally new experience ^_^ I have not heard about buddyTV, but it should be a nice place to hang out, along with fellow fans of certain tv shows.. hehe ^_^

Wow...it must be that boring, huh...
I could imagine. Let me guess. Must be those like flowerpod...my sis loves it so much, ha...but I think the boxes are cute and very feminine-oriented.
She can be surfing those designer fashion and bag threads and whatnot for up to an hour or more each time, LOL...
You do know a lot of sites, very resourceful..thanks for commenting, bro...

I've never heard of those forum sites before but you are right about that. It's like some forums out there you can leave a comment and it will be left for ages like there's no one to comment back or start anew from there. It's like a forum whereby people just comment without really networking with one another. It's like talking and commenting to themselves. And some of those forum sites have regulars whom are not friendly to newbies.
They will talk to one another, exclusively excluding the ones commenting or asking them. Quite rude, I must say. Besides mylot, I'm mostly on BuddyTV forum but this one is just for me to read on snippets of TV plots that I've missed. And I notice people talk alone too there...ha...but this one is an exception because especially for Harper's Island thread, I love to read about what they think of certain plots. A good site to read and catch up. Especially on Prison Break because in our local TV, it shows 3 times a week. I can't catch up...need to work, ha...
I love mylot heaps too. This is the best for me so far...

Hmm, forum sites.. The only other forum site that I can think of that I am a member of and at least slightly active would be on makemoneykingdom. Its a forum site mostly talking about how to make money. General advice on different online opportunities and that's where I usually read reviews and feedback about a certain site that I am interested in joining. A member also earns 'gold coins' per post. I already forgot the rates there but Im sure that they decreased the exchange rates for actual cash.
I used to be active on Yahoo Answers, but that is a Questions and Answers site. I am also a member of Buddytv. That's where I get all of my tv show updates. I dont comment on articles there that much but they have the most updated news about tv shows, movies, and celebrities. It can also be a discussion site via the comment boxes where members can share their opinions about an article or general idea about a show.

Ah, so you're already a member at Buddytv? Well, Ill try to look you up there and send a friend request
I only posted Questions on Yahoo Answers when I needed specific answers to serious questions. I get a few good answers from there. It helps me with my homework.^_^
I also give answers there to questions that I think really need the extra help. Especially for online research or something like that.

Hi zed, The first site I registered online was a music forum where we could discuss hindi films and music and exchange songs. One of the members told me about ciao ,and, that was the beginning - now I am a member of many sites like dooyoo, ezine, bukisa, factoidz, hubpages -all review sites and postparker and morachat, both discussion sites...It gets a little confusing at times what with passwords and userids getting mixed up lol...

Awesome.. but one question, Kiran.
How did you divide your time to answer to all these? Or I mean find the time or dividing which time is for which site. I sometimes would love to join all these sites but I don't have the time, LOL. And I don't really know how to divide my time once I have that extra time and mostly I would be spending time on mylot, Triond and Twitter.

Ahh, that's cool. So basically you have certain days for this site and that and at the same time, the sites which allow for contents which have been submitted.
As for Triond, I agree with you that it's a very slow earning site. It is up till now. But the community is great but long time members are saying that they are fairing none too badly now. Their articles which are popular are still getting page views and stuff like that and their earnings are piling up even without them contributing much. I suppose before one reaches that stage, it will definitely be a slow process.
But the system is really awesome. There's like a statistic graph which shows you from which sites your articles are coming mostly. A graph or some sort. And they give you information on unique searches which lead to your site. I find that topics which are popular and gaining reads up till now would be current affairs, hobbies and interests like gardening and ways to earn and stuff like that. These are articles which will mostly have traffic, in my point of view. Perhaps you can try it out for the first few days or weeks and see how. It's a very user friendly site but your articles must not be from other sites. It has to be fresh..that's the only thing about it. Oh yes, and once you submit a poem or article, you will have to wait around most 1 day before publication or some sort. Hope this helps..

So far I have been somehow managing zed, but it is not possible to give equal attention to all the sites. I post the same review on all the sites at different times.I feel that discussion sites take up a lot of my time, looking for discussions , reading others posts and then answering them is not really that easy...zed, Plz do share your experience with triond, because my own feeling is that it is a very slow earning site...

I'm on Facebook, but only very occasionally when I want to contact family or friends for some reason. Other than that, I have my own social networking site, plus, I like to write, so I belong to two or three writing sites. They're all very rewarding and it's great to see your work in your own "magazine" on the sites.
Brightest Blessings, my friend.

Hey Darkwing
You said that you write for two or three writing sites. I am interested in getting involved with some of these sites because I am trying to get started with more writing.
I have just started getting with all of these different sites. I have spent a lot of time reading posts and then looking at some of the sites that are discussed. Any additional info. would be a great help.

I am not very active here in mylot right now. But from time to time, I do visit mylot and respond to post. I do have another forum, but it something that I have started with. Its a forum for my training center that I opened up just about a few months ago. I love to discuss things with those that we have taught and in a way keep in touch with them from time to time. That the reason why I created such forum.

i am a 100% mylot user. I have not engage myself into other forum sites. I just dont trsut them anymore. I would not waste time with this sites who have not proven its authenticity yet. I would rather spent my time here in mylot enjoying and earning at the same time. Mylot is the best paid forum site in the internet.

That is awesome. At least you know which sites to frequent and spend your free time there. Louis Koo...is it an actor or singer?
That's cool to be able to interact with other fans. Another forum that I am frequently at would be BuddyTV. To catch up on what's going on in Harper's Island and what people think of the scenes and etc.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day.. ;)

Heyya zed! I am involved in a couple of other websites. I am on Helium and pickjack. I am testing the waters with online surveys but I haven't found anything that seems legit. I am a memeber of associated content but at this point I do like Helium better. I've sold three articles on there. I like ebay and craigslist too. Oh and I have a myspace..but I hardly ever use it. It's been months actually.

Helium used to work for me, but I'm glad that it works for you. How do you maintain your rating and writing stars..?
AC is cool as I've heard lots of wonderful things about it. The other sites I've not heard, I mean yes to myspace and Ebay but not for Craiglist and Pickjack, I'm none too sure. Glad that they are working out for you.
Thanks for sharing, Jenin..;)

Rating stars are easy to maintain because you just rate other's articles. I usually rate on spelling and information. If you rate on certain criterias more than likely your rates will be considered quality ratings. As for writing stars well...I flip flop on those..lol...I usually write for the marketplace area more because if they pick to buy them it really doesn't have anything to do with how your rated. I usually jump between one and two stars for writing..I have three rating stars. Pickjack is crazy..it's fun though. Craigslist is a free online classified.

Prior to joining myLot I would spend about 3-4 hrs on the net reading the news, chatting, emailing, doing online banking, etc. I accidentally stumbled upon a MyLot discussion and it was a welcome discovery. MyLot opened to me a new and exciting way of surfing the net. Earning while learning is just so cool! I'm now spending more and more time on the computer because needless to say, I'm addicted to it. Even in the office I manage to check my myLot account during break time coz I wanna know what's happening here all the time.
To answer your question, no I'm not involved in any forums except myLot.

I have requested your friendship and hopefully, you'll accept it. I must say that your answer is truly refreshing and I see such a great enthusiasm there. I'm also like you, once I'm on the net, I'll be so consumed with surfing and stuff like that. I will also have mylot on in one tab and will open up some discussions to answer. It's col that you have stumbled upon mylot and I hope you will always remain here. I say welcome to you..

No, offcourse not. I wrote for some sites, and for my own but not online yet.. I'm also trading in forex, that's the main thing for me. Other routines would be checking on my buddies, looking some thing that i like to add for my photo collection and articles or knowledge for my learning.And.. um, i think that's it.

I've heard some about this Forex thing. Is it very risky, how much or how minimal did you invest? And what are the profits return? Are you able to get much and how do you study which to bid and stuff like that. If you can get back to this discussion, thanks for sharing..
@writon0pages (52)

everything has risk on it as everything has good on it. I'm risking what i can afford to loose.. profits return? i think it's stabilize at 10-20% a day... it's static now, just like everyday works, you kow?.. doing the routines as like your whole body doing things while your mind is out there somewhere fun.. not like it used too, when i spend times sleepless formulating system to gain bigger and faster with minimum time and loss.. during that time of process the minimum profits return should be like 150% a day... but i ended up loosing all of it at the longer run..
it's been static now since i learned to control ego's and greed, to just trade and take what i can see now rather than expeting far a head... i think this is the key... history makes today, and what makes the future is today... never try to predict future by digging on the past...
If you are interested,.. remember this, sometimes things are not as complicated as it seems or looks like.. when it's just simple, don't complicating it..
good luck n happy mylotting
usually when you start to learn something, you ask, search, find a forum... that is why i'm telling you that... because things got complicated there... but you should go there and get through it... it's process.

i would not say that i am involved per say but I do leave a comment on just one or two other sites that I came across over time. I couldnt even remember my username there if i was asked. I only did so because the discussion at the time appealed to me somewhat.
Earlier today for example I commented on the MSN Music news page. I doubt I'll be doing so for some time to come.

I agree..
That's the beauty of forum sites mostly. Being able to comment and just come back months later and just read up on the updates and stuff like that. It's not hard to maintain membership in forum sites too, like some forums enable to comment but must put verification code. Thanks for your response, my friend..

I do lots of online sites. I am on Facebook as well. I am not that active on it, but I do enjoy being able to keep in touch with many people from my past on there. I am also on a social site called Gather, I actually get paid for socializing there too, sort of like here on mylot but a bit different. I also do writing sites like Ehow and Associated Content, and those can be a bit social too.

I love online forums and I am a member of a couple of different forums. The first forum I ever joined was a Danish forum, and I still write a few posts there every once in a while, but I not as active as I used to be. It is a nice place to discuss the local news though.
One of my favourite international forums is Hipforums, it is so big and it is always easy to find some interesting discussions. I especially like the art category and the category about mental health. I have also been a member of Forumgarden and Answerpool, but I haven't been there for many months.
Sometimes I like to read discussions on German or French forums. I am not very good at writing French, but reading the discussions is a nice way to practice my French. I also enjoy to read German discussions, it is easy for me to understand the things I read, but it is harder for me to write German and to participate in the discussions.

That's just so, so cool. I love your description totally because I love forums as well. I can spend a good hour just browsing through different topics in different forum sites and could chuckle my way through.
The knowledge you get in these forums are aplenty. I can understand your interest for it totally. I've never been in a German or French forum. That's something new.. perhaps I can take a look at them someday. Thanks for sharing your wonderful answer..
