I have recieved the wonderful news that my daughter has decided to keep her child! I myself am against abortions, except for in extreme cases. My 18yr old daughter got pregnant and was considering having an abortion. Then, with family's pressure to have one..I was so scared. Now, I found out she is keeping the baby! It will be hard but my husband and I will be there to help her.

I am delighted that your daughter will have her baby and you will help her care for him or her. It was a shame she had some pressure to abort her baby and think if she had done so she might have regretted her choice. I know many teens do make lovely mothers. Your daughter will still be young once her baby is grown up. It will be possible for her to continue studying and then by the time her baby gets to school so could have a superb career.

My best wishes for your daughter and child! I'm against abortion too. It's a terrible crime. E woman must be first of all responsible for her actions. If the father is not interested in the baby send him to Coventry! You and your husband are sufficient for the child. I speak this way because I'd have preferred to be a single mother rather than a wife with a ba...rd husband!

Hi marlena18042! That's wonderful news! I personally do not believe in abortion. I don't think one irresponsible act warrants the sacrifice of life. The most logical and humane thing to do would be to have the baby, try to take care of it or give it up for adoption to people who would be willing and able to care for the baby. I am against abortion but I am not against contraceptives. What I'm saying is, if it's already there, live up to it.
It's wonderful that you and your husband are supportive of your daughter. I'm sure it's going to be a hard journey for all of you. Just stay strong always and keep a smile on your face at all times to make the load lighter. :)
