Would you give the shirt off your back?

Are you the type of person who would give the shirt off your own back to help someone in need? I am to a point. I will do what I can to help anyone unless I see that they are continually doing nothing to help themselves. I have emptied my cupboards to give make sure people had food, I have given clothes to those who have little to none, and I have given money when I have had it to spare. I do not mind doing this at all unless I see that the person is only trying to take advantage of my good nature and is unwilling to help themselves. I feel that there comes a time when tough love is needed to nudge a person to help themselves. Would you give the shirt off your back? What limitations do you have?

If it was someone I loved, sure. If it's strangers, I'll give to a certain point and only what I can afford. There are some that live off charity as much as possible but the majority are really trying to better themselves.

Yes im like you I like to help people to , but do need to see them helping themselves. I would give the shirt form my back if it really helped another person who was really trying and it made the difference for them ..
