How much do you make on mylot?

With so many people and so many different "contributions" to mylot, there should be a lot of difference in the amounts people make on here. How long have you been a member of mylot? How many posts or how much time do you put into mylot each day? How much do you make on average on mylot?
This is a post that anyone and everyone that reads it should be able to contribute to the discussion...
I've been here less than a week. I post about 10 times a day while at work. I am at $.41 as of today.
Oh, and I could use some friends as well ;-) Does having friends on mylot help make you more $?

Hi!
I have been a member of myLot for about a year. When I first started I had like 20-60 posts a day, along with a few discussions. But after I went on vacation I forgot all about myLot. I started using myLot again a few minutes ago :)
I don't make too much, I have earned $4.07 so far, with around 230 posts. I guess you would like a few tips too. Having friends on myLot can help you earning money, as they often reply to your discussions, but if they don't, they won't help you.
What helps you, is referrals. You get a small portion of what your referrals earn. It seems to me like starting a discussion makes you more money than just posting a reply, and it seems like you make money from the replies on your discussions.
Happy myLotting!

I think your post has helped me the most so far! I will try to keep adding friends so I have more of a chance of people commenting on the discussions that I start. I've been trying to get a few people from my work to join so that I have a few referrals, but it's not easy to get people to start new things! Thanks for the tips and Happy Mylotting!

Hi there, i am actively doing in mylot since this month. About my post here, i dont post discussion everyday there are times i just post 1-3 discussions and there are days that i dont post any discussion. But i am more into giving response to any discussion. If i know i can contribute to the discussion then i give my opinion. Somtimes i do some task although i am not bless to do task because many times my works was being rejected but i have also task that are being approved. My earnings is pretty good and hope i can make the payout till tomorrow need more cents hope i can make it today and i will not be late for the payout this month. Anyway, keep on posting good discussion and be active ... response to discussion with 5 lines with quality and quantity and i'm sure you will get payout soon. Happy mylotting =)

Thank you for taking the time to respond to this discussion. I was looking for hints and tips since I am new to mylot. So you think keeping the posts at 5 lines or more helps? I guess as long as it is quality material you are posting and not just jiberish. I guess I'll be trying to get referrals next as it seems everyone says they hope out the most. Hopefully I'll get a payout next month, but I highly doubt I'll make this month! Again, thanks for the response and Happy Mylotting!

Hello, I have been here for over 2 years now. I have so many friends on my list but I dont think adding friend will earn any money. It is really depend, if I feel good then I post a lot but if I dont then just a few. I reach to payout for many times... but actually I enjoy sharing and talking to friends here... it is cool to have someone to respond to your discussion and always there for you.

I notice and would have to agree that this site isn't just about the money. A lot of people here just try to make money, but having friends and having someone to talk with or discuss matters on your mind are definitely one of the top aspects of the site! Thanks for sharing with us Smileonstar! Happy Mylotting!

As you've said different contributions should make this to be a very good and different opinionated wise, discussion. I've made $2.00 in one day before, and it's quite easy if you've got all day to do so. The economy as bad as it is, makes for finding a job difficult. When your as picky as I am, it's even more difficult. I'm glad to be a part of this site though. One thing I can suggest for you is to keep writing discussions as long as this one, it really does help. Quality helps make you money. Friends help in that you find more to respond to but there are so many differnt ways to find discussions as is, I couldn't even begin to tell them. If you'd like to know more, just comment back. I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have.

Woah Nelly. Okay let me answer those for you. No the number of posts won't go up, but it does help monetarily for you to comment on a comment. It also starts conversations that can lead to mylot friends who will respond to you. I'm not sure which number your talking about here, but the number in the start is representitive on your mylot rating. The star is just corresponding with the rating. I think my star is blue, which is the highest rated star you can get. I think there's ten stars hence the ten in the blue star. Hmm, Hope I can help some more and that I've answered your questions. Go to your profile, Interest Rankings and you'll see rankings in the interests you've responded to the most! Have fun!

ok, So the number in the star corresponds to the number of star that you are currently at, which is dependent upon your participation within mylot. So the color of the star and the number in the star go together... Now, the number to the right of your name is the number of posts you've replied to or started? But this does not account for comments you've made on other comments? So the number is pointless? LOL Even though the number doesn't go up with commenting on comments, it helps you gain more $? Is this definite? Has it been proven? Personally, I would think that if the rank (number) doesn't move, how would it affect the $ being made? Regardless, if the comment is worth being commented on, I will continue to comment on it. A good response deserves a good response in return at the least! Thank you for the help and information!

What about commenting back on those that commented on a discussion I've started? I see almost everyone says to be sure you comment back on their comments to you. However, I only notice the number beside my name only goes up if I make a comment on a discussion or make a new discussion, not when I make a comment on a comment. What do the numbers beside our names mean? How about the stars? The color of the stars? The numbers inside the stars?

i can't just believe it, i am on my 396th discussion or responses and all i can get is 3$, i thought each discussion or response should be around 0.1$ each i just realized that it is not working like that , maybe mylot just simply round up earning figures or they just have something for everyone

You should do more than just comment on peoples discussions. Start your own discussions and try to make them interesting so more people will comment on them. Also, comment on the comments they make on your discussion. Try to bring in referrals, and there are also tasks. The more you can get others to interact with you, the more you will make. Also, be sure your posts are quality, not just quantity. When you post, make sure it's something worth saying, and is easy to understand as well.

Hello crazy, and thanks for responding. Take the time to read all of the discussion and with everyone's comments together, you should be able to pull out what is most needed to make the most amount of $ on mylot. Some say tasks, others say to start interesting discussions that many people will comment on like this one. Yesterday I saw a task that paid $2.00 for typing 4 paragraphs about a certain product, however I didn't have the time to do it, so I passed on it. Friends don't really make you money unless they comment on your discussions. Referrals are a good way to make money.

Before tasks, it was really slow going for me. Thanks to tasks, I was able to hit way beyond the minimum payout last month (that was my first payout). I've been here a few months. Since doing tasks, my participation in discussions has dwindled. However, since there hasn't been writing tasks in a while, I'm back in the discussion boards. :)

Hi,
I have been for five months at mylot and the highest income that I have had so far is 18 dollar in a month. But last month as I was busy in some other works i could not make it to 10 but this time I am much ahead.

Not one person in here earns the same as another user. There is a formula that mylot uses and we don't know and they want to keep it that way. Actually, we aren't supposed to discuss our earnings in here for that very reason. Let's just say, I iwll be paid next month. Your earnings depend on how active you are and your participation in discussions. If you post a lot of responses, but they aren't of a good quality, then you won't get as much if anything at all. Anytime you start a discussion, post comments or post responses, they must all be quality posts. Also, there are tasks available that can help your earnings as well. I don't have referrals nor do I do tasks, and I am very active in here. So just keep all this in mind while you post, and you will do ok. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I know that everyone is going to make a different amount. It all depends on the number of replies, their referrals if any, the quality of their posts, etc. However, these tasks you speak of...I have not heard of them til now.. What exactly are these? Where do you find them at? What sort of things are they? I did not know we weren't supposed to discuss our mylot earnings. I assumed it wouldn't matter to discuss it b/c they pay is not based on one particular thing, but many put together. I guess this was more for hints and tips for myself since I only started less than a week ago.
