MyLot Money...

Well, I decided to do a little research this morning and looked up a few things. I found out I joined MyLot on February 14, 2007…seems like a long time. I also found out that I’ve earned over $200 on here since then…I couldn’t believe that.
I’ve seen a lot of discussions on here about how MyLot is hard to earn on, how they don’t pay much and all that…seeing how much I’ve made, without a lot of effort, convinces me otherwise. Imagine what you could make with effort and hard work. I had several months where I made very little or nothing but other months where I more than made up for it.
I also added up all the unanswered discussions I have and, although I won’t say how many there are (it could throw ppl into shock), there’s enough there to keep me more than occupied for a long time LOL I know I’ll never make huge money on MyLot but I am proud of what I’ve made and happy at making it.
Do you know when you joined MyLot? Have you ever went through and added up your earnings to see just what you’ve made on here? Do you put a lot of effort into earning on here or just not pay attention to it?

How did you add up how much you've made on here so far, by going to your paypal? Oh and how about the exact date you started here? did you count from what it says on your profile? I know that I have goals on here, and I try to put as much effort into mylotting as possible. I'd love to make $50.00 atleast a few months out of the year so that my fiance and I can buy things we want and need and help out around the house. Right now we've got so much we've got to do, that I don't think we even understand or realize how much that really is. Well Good Luck here on Mylot $200.00 is a lot of money, lol!

There's a tab called "Payment history" on your earnings page here in myLot.

I guess I mentioned paypal because I went through paypal to figure out what I had earned in one year, but this was for every earning I got. Well I appreciate that, I'll have to do that once I'm not enthralled with this mini sims 3 game on their ea site. lol.

I've been here for a year but, honestly I don't really know how much money I have made. I know that's I've had payouts though lol I don't put a lot of effort into mylot and just realize from time to time that I have earned something.

I am not sure if one gets money for posting a comment to another comment. I know that if you start interesting discussions with a lot of responses it seems to produce great results with money made.

I joined myLot on December 21, 2006. In the beginning I was very diligent in my postings. Now I do not give nearly as much time or effort as I did in the first year or so however I am extremely satisfied with the earnings I have received from myLot.

The reason your account shows up as still having $.02 is that your earnings for today will not be calculated or posted until tomorrow. I was a little confused and frustrated by this when I first joined, too! I think it is because of this fact that we can't calculate exactly how much a comment or a post earns us. But it's kind of fun that way - it's a surprise to see how much you have! :)

When I first started myLot I always checked on what I made each day because if I did not make enough to satisfy my goal at the time, my discussions were not good enough and I had not answered enough discussion in the way they should have. So it was not that the money concerned me, it was the standard I set for myself, the reason is that I am using myLot as a practice for increasing my writing skills, not in the way that someone from a non-English country does, but because for the last three years of high school, I had to switch to general rather then academic and the skills in the general program were designed to get someone working in a store, restaurant, office, etc. and not for someone going to University.
And I do like to find out what is going on, and give advice and I am good at looking up things (I have no idea. I still hate searching for something I lost, but do it anyway, - I guess it is a compulsion.(

Unfortunately I have never keep track of my involvement in mylot. All that I can remember and is stated in my profile is I have been here for 3 years now and that I have posted hundreds of discussions and it will take me ages to flip through all my past discussions. I have no record of how much I have earned in mylot but happy to be paid monthly.

I'm a bit like that too. Except I don't know if I even started that many discussions and that I think that I've been here for more than one year. I didn't think how much time I spent on here but it doesn't seem to be taking much effort in participating.

I've been here since December 2006, and been paid twice so far. Almost ready to get paid a 3rd time. I earned a lot for the first few months after I started, then dropped back quite a bit, although I quite enjoy being here, don't always have the time, or even the inspiration to contribute much.
Some days I don't see any suitable discussions for me to respond to, other days there are so many that I just can't look at them all. I try to steer clear of the more controversial topics, although I may still read them, and respond to a very few of these.

I'm not really interested in making money fast on here. I only comment on the articles that interest me. I belong to other sites that I make money fastly on. I'm glad to hear that you have made some money on here and that they have paid you.

i also joined mylot in 2007. but i only made a few posts every now and then and not really active because of work and travel. there are months that would pass by with very few posts made. the last time i made a discussion was already a few months ago.
true, each post makes only a few cents. but those few cents do add up. mylot is not a great money-maker for inactive members, but even with less activity, i earned about $90 from doing 1 task, referring a few friends who earned me a few dollars, uploading a few photos and doing 1500 posts. i could imagine that more active people earn more here. i am just glad i stumbled on this site, learned and enjoyed a lot, made new friends and kept it as a hobby and stress reliever.
happy mylotting!

I've been here for over a year and earned $10.00, working toward my next $10 with $6.62. I'm just not that active but I see there's an incentive for activity -- those pennies have sure added up for you. Congratulations!

I joined in Feb 2008, a year later than you, so I've been here for not quite a year and a half.
When I first started, I saw how easy it was and with less than two weeks in the month I joined, I reached payout that first month. That did it for me and I was determined to make payout every month.
I did that easily until a few months ago when life just took a different turn, and the site also got really slow and irritated me. From I had several months in a row where I only earned a dollar or two, and 2-3 months where I didn't even break $1. Still, with 16 months netting me $215, that's an average of almost $13.50 per month, so I'm more than satisfied with my earnings.
I've just started posting again this last week or so, so we'll see how long I can hold out. I'd at least like to get back to where I see payout every month. I need every penny I can get right now.

I certainly have missed seeing you around. Life keeps happening to us all doesn't it. I remember your garden in containers last year, and all of your crochet.

I'm working on trying to catch up myself. I won't say how many I have to go through, either. I just get so many discussions in my email every day that I doubt I'll ever be able to respond to them all. I'm trying, though!
I joined here on May 14th, 2008, just a little over a year ago. I hadn't been keeping track of what I've earned here, mainly because I enjoy myself when I'm here so much that I just don't think about the money. But, since you mentioned it, I just had to go back and see. I've made over $200.00 here in only 13 months! (I DO have a rather big mouth. LOL) MyLot definitely does pay!
I just have fun here. If I get to all the discussions in a day, that makes me happy but, if I don't, that's okay. I'm here to enjoy myself and there are some days when it would be impossible to even get to half of the discussions. Some days, they're rare but they do happen, I haven't been able to get here at all. Whenever that happens, though, I'm very anxious to get back and try to catch up.
I think that's what makes making money here easy... you have to be enjoying yourself. I've noticed that some people join here solely to make money. They get frustrated when they don't make much or can't think of discussions to start. If they would just see that if they relaxed and went with the flow, they'd have fun and make money without even realizing how much time went by.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It is really inspiring that with hardwork with mylot entails earnings in return. I just join this year and I honestly can say that every moment I spend here is a time to enjoy. Though at times, I am too lazy to post I just look around and read other people discussions. It is truly a great honor to have read your testimony about mylot. So far, I have only encash $10 but I am positive that I can also reach what you have done so far. Happy mylot and more earnings to come.

Thats great, I haven't added my earnings altogether. I am not even sure on the date that I joined. I do know its been about 3 years. We have both been here a long time. I plan on being here as long as mylot is here, I still love it. Mylot is a great place to hang out, make friends, and you can learn so much. It usually takes me several months before I make payout, but thats fine with me. Take care, its always nice seeing us old timers here.

My user profile says I've been a member for 3 years, which sounds about right. Don't remember how much money I've earned here, though I guess I could look it up if I wanted. For about a year I was making the minimum payout each month, and sometimes more than that, but I think Mylot was paying more for responses then.
What I'd really be curious to know is how much time I've spent on Mylot to earn that money. I bet if I calculated the amount of money I earned per hour on Mylot, it would be pretty discouraging!

Now you got me goin'...I'll have to do a little research myself. My answers are No and No; I have no idea when I joined or how much I've earned. I am not very consistent when it comes to posting so I have not earned near as much as you have. However, I am not here for the money (which is nice) but rather for the fellowship I experience with all my great mylotter friends. You guys keep me coming back, even when I am too tired and just want to go to bed.

I have not made as much as you, because I do not post as much, but I have made about $75 since I joined last year. Hey, to be paid for doing nothing but talking, and I do that anyway!! Well, writing, but it is all the same, except that I can talk faster than I type, lol.

I joined in May or April of this year. I am 3 cents away from my first payout.
I am so excited because my first goal was to reach 100 after my name and then 500 so I can post pictures.
Now my goal was to reach 1000 or to get my first payout. I try to put as much effort as I can into Mylot.
I am on in the morning when I get to work and on my lunch break and when I get home at night from work if I can sometime it hard to get on when I get home. But I do make sure I am here everyday.
