Having only been on mylot a matter of days, i have posted a number of discussions but im beginning to get very peeved when i notice i only get one or two responses to something i have put a lot of thought into. Does this happen to you? How have you solved this? What should i do to boost my responses? thanks :)

Hello matpat and welcome to myLot. I've been here for a very long time. I have learned that in order to get a lot of response you need a lot of friends. I looked at your discussions and notice that you haven't gone back and commented on those responses. Many people will look and see how you respond to their responses. Go back and comment on those responses because this is a discussion forum and your comments make it much more interesting to respond to your discussions.

Before I answer, go and answer my latest discussion....lol. But seriously, nah it doesn't worry me as I guess we all have different interests and some here like to stick together, which is fine! :)

Sorry, no, I don't get annoyed and neither should you. It is not the reponsibility of mylotters to respond to you (nice of them too of course, but not their responsibility). If you want responses, it is your responsibility to create a discussion that captures the attention of other users. A discussion that MyLotters want to answer. I've had discussions with 0 responses and I figure I could have done a better job at stating my case. Sometimes you just need a catchy title. The fact that you are annoyed is an attitude problem on your part. Learn some patience and make some friends here and you will do fine.

It doesn't upset me, to be honest. I figure that if people like the discussions I've started, they'll reply; if they don't, that's okay as well. It's their choice, and I'm simply respecting their decision. :D Happy MyLotting!

Well im a newbie to MyLot. Therefore I dont actually mind getting one or two respones. However it becomes very difficult for me to rate the best response among those few responses which are rubbish. I wish I had some more Helpful and creative responses whom I would happily rate up. Anyways I hope oneday it will happen that my responses are out of bounds. So cheer up guyz

everyone will feel tha same if if you will only get one or two responded from he topic you've started. it may have been that it is not one of the interestd of your friends or among others. better to make interesting topics where everyone can respond to.

Remember that these topics don't really get deleted and stays here for a long time. So it may seem that it's not something people would like replying to, but eventually you'll see that more and more people get engaged in answering or replying to your discussions. Don't fret and stop looking at the number of people responding. Instead, strive hard to reply yourself at the same time just give out your thoughts and questions. Don't give us. Use mylot as a diary to your daily questions and daily activities. So as to have more and more topics and discussions without really pressuring yourself to do more. Good luck!

no, i don't get annoyed when my discussions get just one or two response...actually i appreciate it. know what, when i am just starting i always have that number and i even have some discussions that get zero response...even now, i still have some discussions that don't do well...but that's okay with me, i just try and try... don't get annoyed about it coz you are not the only one who have experienced it...just keep on posting, think of a more interesting title...and don't worry coz sooner or later you can succeed in getting more responses...just be patient...okay? and if you are worried about earnings, you can still earn by responding to other discussions and also commenting... so just hold on...try and try...be patient! just enjoy the site and have fun!

were they of anything of importance or like many people's just a rant or a posting trying to get the"cash"?if you want more respondest you should find something that many people are thinking about.i don't post many times but try to find something that i'm thinking about or that worries me and wonder if others are too.many people here are only here for the"money"and nothing else!i'm here for a info exchange and not the"bucks".my big .90 cents sure will take me far, like down to the end of the block with the price of gas.lol some people will just post on endlessly and never respond to anybody else's postings and that's just wrong!don't get discouged just go with your heart and post on what's importand to you.and yes i made some spelling erriors but i'm in a rush and have a big trip to get ready for and don't have much free time to give a real good responds for you but thought i would just drop a quick note to boost your sprits.

When I first joined the board was much more active and you would get a lot more responses to your discussions. I think that with summer being here, in the states, that some people are not on as much as they once were.

I'm relatively new here, and I've posted discussions that have not been responded to. Yes, it's a bit disappointing but it's not enough reason to turn my back from myLot. Members choose topics that interest them, and what is interesting to me could be boring to others. So I just move on, respond to the other members' discussions, and/or come up with a new one. I'm still learning the ropes but as the "veterans" here would tell you, start a good topic and the responses will come pouring in... I'm waiting for that too - the pouring in of responses I mean. Welcome and happy myLotting!

Good that you have at least one or two. Me honestly with my 10th day of stay here in mylot, several times I got zero responses to some of the topic I started. But it does not affect my momentum I keep on starting a discussion then answer some questions. Do this and that even if no answer to some of topic no problem as my earnings is not affected. Now I'm accelerating and I have posted more than 300. I'm so happy and I'll keep doing here in mylot!

I'm a new user too. I meet the same problems with you. but I think we may need to be patient and don't expect too much at the beginning.

I've posted several discussions that got no response at all and dont usually get many on any of mine but, its no big deal. I'd rather get one or two worthwhile responses to something I've put some thought into than get a load of short responses to some trivial discussion thats been started a dozen times before. I wish you well with your future myLot discussions.

i don't really mind and don't feel annoyed but maybe a little disappointed when my discussions only have 1 or 2 responses but i think it's much more better than remain at the no reponses , as long as someone response its, most of my discussions get less than 10 responses

I am not annoyed if I only received 1 or 2 responses. I am a bit disappointed, yes. Everytime I post some topic, I usually check from time to time whether there is a response already. Sometimes there are responses and sometimes there are none. But it is okay. It only means that the topic I posted is not interesting to the majority thus the slow return of responses. What I do is I make it as a lesson so I could post a more interesting topic next time.
