do u format your pc once in a month??
if yes, how do u do this??u have the cd or u call someone to some and format your pc.
if no,there is no need to worry.u should scan your pc in 20days or 1 month and keep it clean.i'm doin the same and not facing any problem yet.

you don't have to worry about formating your pc once a month. if you like formatting it's easy. Just open start--run and write in "format d:" or any other volume you want to format, but I don't suggest doing that because it's not necessary, what you should do is to defragment your drives from time to time.

I format my pc, usually if there are too many viruses which is really hard to clean up and it had affect all the drives already. Now its my problem is i didn't noticed that my cdrom aint working now and i can't install the OS anymore. I hardly found internal dvd rom to make the necessary installations, i don't have floppy which can be use in booting.
If it is not necessary to format your pc and scanning can still do, do not format your pc yet.

i will scan my PC once in a month.i go for formatting my PC when its affected by virus.. until i wont format my PC. i will format through xp CD..

yes, i have format my pc once a month.Formattinf is not big task.this is very simple way to format the pc.Firstly already made a backup of all files .this help to save the important documents.and you also put some software in cd or pendrive.if you do not want to format the pc,then scan your pc every day or once a weeks.then no virus,threats,trojan.,etc do not attack your pc.so there is need to format the pc. i m also scan my pc once a week.

I never reformat my HD is is a waist of time. I can usually fix issues with the OS when they occure, now for scans you say 20 days
so what happens if you get a virus 1 day after you do your scan and it is an email virus. so anyone in your address book might end up with that virus. glad I am not part of your email address book. should scan for virus's nightly or have the software set to scan on the fly.
Now for a defrag yes check once a month, and if needed then defrag. I usually find that I dont need to defrag very often. am luck if it is needed once a year. and my system is on 24/7
